The School of Practical Philosophy Wellington. PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY – 10-Week Introductory Course "How can the soul which misunderstands itself have a sure idea of other creatures?". What's in it for me?

The School of Philosophy offers practical courses that present the great teachings of the world in a way that is relevant to one’s daily life. Philosophy is not a lofty academic study, but is rather an immediate, relevant and practical discovery of ourselves and the world in which we live. Seneca

The basis of the approach is reasonable inquiry, and students are asked to neither accept nor reject what is discussed, but to actively seek to discover for themselves whether what is proposed is true or false. Many students find a greater sense of purpose, peace of mind, contentment and understanding of themselves and the world around them, as well as the discovery of their abilities and talents which can be used to serve others.
