Kia ora whānau,

As we head into L4 please remember to be kind. Focus your energy on looking after you and your whănau. Stay true to your values and remember to treat others as you would like to be treated. 💜

At Alert Level 4, there are important rules we all need to follow to keep ourselves and each other safe.

• Stay within your immediate household bubble. Extended bubbles are allowed where there is shared care and custody arrangements or if you live alone. Once you go into a bubble you must stay in it and others cannot join.

• Keep 2m apart from other people at all times while in public. This includes when undertaking physical exercise in your neighbourhood, visiting the supermarket or pharmacy, urgent medical care or getting a test.

• If you undertake activities outside, please wear a mask when you leave the house.

• If you feel unwell you must immediately self-isolate from others in your bubble and get a test.

TutuMan has committed to IronMāori Quarter 2021. He knows that not everyone is ready to compete in a triathlon but might like to still be part of a group looking after your health and wellbeing | Hauora. We have sat down with Riwai aka TutuMan and have designed a few 22 Day challenges. These challenges will support Riwai and some of our other athletes to navigate the highs and lows of preparing for an IronMāori Quarter event.
Your part is to set your own wellbeing goal and gain points for all you achieve each week. There will also be at least three wero | challenges set a week worth more points.

Our challenges are for all ages and stages and are based around Te Whare Tapa Wha - Hinengaro, Tinana, Wairua, Whānau and Whenua. The aim is to equal (or beat) TutuMan.

If you have been involved in our challenges for the past year then your first challenge is to find your favourite drinking vessel and post a photo in our Private Group. If you are brand new to the challenge then flick us a message here on Facebook and we will send out the links to get you started!

ps This is TutuMan's gift to his and your hauora | wellbeing so there is no charge for our 22 Day Challenges until he crosses the finish line in November this year!

It's that time again whānau, TutuMan is here with his wero to you: Matariki June with TutuMan!!

June is important to TutuMan and the crew for 2 reasons, the celebration and opportunity to learn about Matariki and also because it is the celebration of the return of TutuMan; that's right whānau it has been a whole year since TutuMan gave you the wero in the rāhui of 2020. So to celebrate, the man himself will be our kaimahi feature! A sneak peek into TutuMan's life looking after his Te Whare Tapa Whā - we reckon two famous pups might make an appearance or two this month!

The month of June with TutuMan and the crew will be learning about matariki, looking after our Te Whare Tapa Whā and a bit of healthy competition along the way - maybe a water fight or two if TutuMan gets his way. Matariki signals the Māori New Year; it is a time of renewal and celebration in New Zealand that begins with the rising of the Matariki star cluster. So, the wero is set whānau, starts the 8th of June - oh and even better, this month is on us!

Kia ora whānau,

Tāwhirimātea (the God of weather) has sadly given you all with a week off from your studio sessions.

Due to surface flooding inside the studio and damage to the carpet we will be CLOSED from Monday 31st May - Monday 6th June.

The rain is suppose to ease later in the week so we should be able to get in and sort out the leak and lift or dry the carpet this week!

Our problems are minor compared to some out there in our region this evening.

Sessions are planned to resume next week

Keep dry and safe everyone and we will be in touch with updates 💜

Our thoughts are with all of our whānau without power, waiting for the impact of high tide and those cut off this evening.

Arohanui whānau x
