I am FINALLY home.

Safe, exhausted, and very, very relieved 😅

I truly cannot believe how lucky I am.💛

Knowing the BlueBridge ferry I was booked on was canceled, I managed to book the very last spot this week online with The Inter islander, but not until Wednesday night!!! 😱

I decided to try my luck and left Christchurch at 5.30am to drive to Picton anyway. At the inter islander terminal, met a couple of lovely locals (staff) and they have managed to squeeze me on the 2.15 sailing today!!!!

No need to hitch a ride with the other locals now! 🤣 🐋 🐳

I honestly didn’t expect that kind of support—completely blown away. Thank you to every single person who stopped by, tasted, chatted, and stocked up. You guys nearly wiped me out (RIP Gingerbread and turmeric 😂).

Now for the plot twist…

Ferry home has been cancelled 🚫⛴️

So I’m currently stuck in Picton for a few days trying to get back to Wellington with a car full of empty boxes 🙃

Not the plan… but we roll with it.

Back in February at Petone Fair, a lovely customer told me, ‘You’re going to need help in Christchurch… bring someone with you.’

Well… I didn’t 😅

She came to my stand yesterday, saw how busy it was, and (rightfully) gave me a bit of stick for not listening… so I said, ‘Well, you should come help me then!’

And today… she actually did.

5 hours.

Just jumped in and helped — no questions asked.

This is what I mean when I say this business is more than just lattes 💛
It’s people. It’s community. It’s kindness.
