Tamaki Makaurau !

Here we come ....

Watch this space ...

Spending the day with innovative practitioners seeking to collaborate and have rongoā at the core of their manawa me mahi has been kai mō te wairua!

Ending my day with one of our Māreikura/ Kuia for kai kōrero and much needed sharing of wisdom and receiving this beautiful taonga from special friends was ✨️ the best mahi tahi day ever !

When work is really answering your calling and being a part of your tīpuna moemoeā ✨️✨️✨️

I am really proud to share that I am now recognised as an ACC Registered Rongoā Māori Provider for the whakapapa (inherited) giftings of Wairuatanga, Matakite, Matekite and Haumirimiri.

A rigorous process that required our tohunga, māreikura, kuia and Marae whānau to evidence my abilities, intent and contributions to our people. Alongside, the ability to Kaiako and lead our Kaimahi.

An application that brought great pain and tears as I honoured the memory of all my tīpuna who are no longer here in the physical but ever present in the wairua.

I wanted to post that this process was lengthy taking over 6 months, to ensure that our entire team could be reviewed as a part of my application.

Therefore, a hearty congratulations is also due to;

Abby Hollingsworth Ngāi Tuhoe, Ngāti Ruapani (Puketapu-Finn), Kairongoā

Jo Young Tainui, Ngāti Raukawa (Prince) - Kairongoā

Who have also been assessed and approved as a part of Mana Mauri Collective.

There are many to be thanked and you have received personal messages from me this morning. However, I must acknowledge my Uncle Witi McMarth (Ngāti Wai), thank you for being one of our Rangitira that led our WAI262

And Mihi Henry-Hatcher of Mihi's Place for your years of patience as I avoided doing this mahi in public and generally mucked around for a decade or more 🤣! You are an inspiration and such a significant taonga.

Arohanui e te whānau! ̄māori

A MASSIVE shout out to Abby Hollingsworth mō tou rongoā me mahi ā toi toi!!!!! ✨️✨️✨️✨️

We use mahi ā toi toi for rongoā. A gift passed down through our Māreikura line.

We both receive clear visions, that guide our kōrerotia and our hands to create physical art peices.

Here we have 🪶He Huruhuru 🪶a feather designed to capture the aspirational hopes of Evolution Healthcare Group who are the top leaders in private hospitals, day surgeries, health and wellbeing businesses.

This design encapsulates the strength of pepeha, tipu ake, manaakitanga, manawanui, kotahitanga and auahatanga. It was transposed onto IT design assets, workbooks for a leadership conference and 4 different colored tee shirts - being worn in Australia and Aotearoa!

They featured in a conference centred on tiny steps for massive momentum which pretty much summarizes the life story Mana Mauri Collective !

Sometimes disaster is actually our tīpuna aligning our haerenga.

Two failed flights out of Auckland
One amazing encounter and day with Dr Hinemoa Elder and Becky my childhood friend and Penguin Publisher Representative Extradionaire.

It was an incredible honour to be added as a Kaiāwhina to the book tour today. And to see our kuia, whaea, tane, and rangatahi line up faithfully to have their pukapuka signed.

I'm also proud of the fact I facilitated 20 book sales of ARA today exceeding my KPI of 10 books 📚 💙❤️💜

We've had the most incredible month, with some amazing opportunities coming our way.

A big part of these changes is our focus on our own healing and wellbeing. Both of us are committed to gym, nutrition and goodness, and we only open on the days that offer the best healing Mauri for ourselves and those that journey with us!

Its fabulous to be closed today and to be responsive to the learnings from mutu whenua me whiro!

We've put down things that don't serve us well and said yes to new, different work flows and projects.

Have the best whakamutunga wiki whānau ❤️🙏✨️

Waking up early for karakia and intention setting under our beautiful tangaroa-whakapau in whakatiki!

Mindful to the powerful energies of Tangaroa and grateful we remain in a higher energy phase to help get us through this week ahead.

Acknowledging that we could feel some fatigue, exhaustion to feel "whakapau". Thats merely an indication from our tīpuna that we need to rest in the good works we have been engaged in.

Today is a great day to see the potential in others, delegate to their strengths and accept tasks for yourself that are easy to achieve and bring you satisfaction.

Let things pass you by without regret, choose wisely where to invest your taima, mauri, aroha and koha. Your energy is precious so protect it ! ✨️ ✨️✨️✨️✨️

Korekore Whīwhīa

When the winds sweep the shorelines there is wisdom in that. Taiao is sending some messages to wait, listen, proceed with insight and caution. Pay attention to the movement of the world around us and within.

It's been a fantastic start to the day, at the gym with headphones on not because I am listening to music - because I need a buffer to the energy of the gym and others.

When considering my mahi tahi ahead of this morning Korekore (nothing, not a thing) is more than being aware it is a lower energy time of the maramataka - for me it is about being lower in my responses.

✨️ carefully consider requests made of me today

✨️ rest in knowing I can and will achieve tasks ahead of me - perhaps over 2 days

✨️ choose to preserve my energy and give to what is truly within my heart space

Whīwhīa for me is a chance to question, to seek reasoning or to be in awareness of what I dont yet know and remain curious to explore more!

Each day of our traditional calender brings insights and calls us to attention to dig deeper and to be open ✨️✨️✨️

OIKE - take time to listen amd learn your bones as they are also the bones of your tīpuna. In the quiet are you being told eat well, sleep well, talk words from a space of Ha Pai? Are you being told to let go and release past hurts and trauma?

Some of us hear easily, others need to work at it...strain to hear however when you do be grateful for the smallest of whispers and follow their leading.

For Abby Hollingsworth and I were are excited to be dreaming new directions, spaces and places to breathe our Mauri into. Being prepared, planning, following tīpuna, and learning from their wisdom is key to our journey of sustained wellbeing and energy.

Go well e te whānau listen and be kind to yourself on this beautiful re ra ō te Oike ✨️✨️🙏✨️✨️
