Evoke Health NZ’s Story:
My name is Kate Anderson. I am a mother of three, a Registered Nurse, a certified Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST), Massage therapist and board certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). I have extensive knowledge and experience working with people of all ages and stages from pregnant women and babies and children to elderly men and women.
I qualified as an IBCLC in 2015 after many years of breastfeeding study and support and completed my diploma in BCST in 2018. I have recently returned to work since having our youngest in May 2018 and am enjoying welcoming clients from all walks of life into my home therapy space.
I have a strong belief in “Mothering the mother”. A lot of what I do is aimed at helping mothers and their families transition into parenthood as smoothly as possible. I find myself daily talking to mums and dads about their struggles to conceive and the realities of pregnancy and birthing in NZ. I hope that by offering a cocoon and safe space for these families that their journeys are improved.
I also feel blessed to be able to support other individuals on their health journeys! From sprains, strains, concussion and migraines to PTSD and other physical and emotional trauma. Every day someone new with something new walks through my door and I hope that they leave feeling better!
