Did you know our registered nurses provide Wound Care
Minor injuries, such as small cuts, lacerations or abrasions are a common reason people visit the Emergency Department. You may wait hours for a procedure that takes only 10-15 minutes to complete.
To meet this growing need and provide a service closer to home, our registered nurses offer minor wound treatment and assessment, including:
• Cleaning and disinfecting wounds.
• Stitches (sutures), surgical glue or adhesive strips.
• Tetanus vaccinations if needed.
• Wound assessments and dressings, including follow-up dressing changes.
You can book online to see a nurse, often within the same day, or walk-in.
The nurse can also lodge an ACC claim for the injury during the appointment.
