Therapeutic Masseuse Lisa has always had a passion and a heart for helping and restoring others.

Through massage therapy she discovered she could have an immediate and positive impact on a persons life by restoring balance and providing relaxation. Her goal in creating Be Still Massage Therapy was to create a space where people could come and take a moment to "Be Still" - to take a breath, some time out from their busy lives and through massage therapy enable a positive shift in their physical and mental well being.

💧🤍 Hydration really is Key; Ensuring you Hydrate after a Massage Treatment has such a positive impact on your physical well-being.
When you Restore lost fluids + electrolytes you are nourishing and further softening your muscles while helping your kidneys to essentially ‘flush’ your body and remove waste.
Rehydrating also assists with blood flow & circulation, and works to further ease tension and fatigue = Thus actually maximising + prolonging the benefits of the massage itself! 😍☁️

There is always fresh water available in the Studio (next to the sweet treats 😉) to ensure you are able to grab a inu (drink) and restore + refuel after each and every session 🍶

Your vulnerability in sharing all that is weighing on your shoulders and equally all that is bringing you Joy
Your abundant generosity, your laughter, your tears, your resilience in the face of testing and truly unprecedented times,
And - especially profound to the heart of this small business owner - Your support, Your Love & Your care 🤍
Without you there quite literally is no me, and the honour & pleasure of having you in this space and journeying with you is truly all mine,

✨A simple and readily available tool we have to help reduce our stress and anxiety levels can be found in our breath 🌬
Box breathing & Diaphragmatic Breathing are great techniques to stimulate our parasympathetic nervous system - the network of Nerves that brings us to a place of calm and rest ☁️
If you are feeling overwhelmed or anxious or perhaps you need to regain focus I encourage you to take a moment to Breathe and give the below a try 🤍

🌱 Sit or lie in a comfortable position
🌱 Place one hand on your chest, the other on your stomach - this will allow you to ensure you are consciously activating your diaphragm as you breathe, your stomach should rise as you inhale and there should be minimal movement through your chest,

🌱Breathe in deeply through your nose while slowly counting to four in your head,
🌱Hold your breath for a count of four
🌱Exhale through your mouth for another count of four.

Repeat for three to four rounds,

✨If I asked you to picture a desert, I’m sure like me your mind would drift to an image of a Dry, Barren, Desolate place,
A place where if we were to imagine walking, simply putting one foot in front of the other would be a struggle, The thick heat overwhelming, a deep breath hard to take,

But did you know that the harsh conditions found in earths desert’s actually serve many essential purpose’s?
One of those being that the dry, parched environment allows for the formation of important precious Minerals,
Minerals such as Copper, Diamonds and Gold, and The minimal vegetation found in these areas actually makes the extraction process of these precious minerals easier 🌾

With this in mind, I want to encourage you if you are currently navigating a “Desert Season” of life,
Maybe each step you’re taking right now feels heavy and overwhelming, in a place that seems exhausting and void of growth,
Perhaps much like the desert sun dries up every last drop of moisture, the pressure of these last couple of years has dried up your Joy, your Hope, your sense of Purpose.

Hold on 🤍

You may not be able to see it or feel it right now, but have faith that beneath the surface minerals are forming;
Refinement is taking place,
Trust that in response to the pressure you are currently facing Diamonds are beginning to take shape,

Allow what needs to be removed to be removed because it’s clearing the path & making a way for what’s to come,

Have Hope, There is still purpose here!

✨ I hope that you are able to find some space to sit in the stillness,
A few Moments of refuge where the loud drum of the world becomes a distant hum,
Gentle pauses in which to take some slow, deep, breaths.
Each exhale a silent declaration; that despite not having all of the answers, and the ‘to do’ list still undone,
in that very moment all that is required of you is to simply ‘Be’

Completely, wholly, as you are. 🤍
