Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine are being regulated. The appointment of the Chinese Medicine Council (similar to the nursing council or the medical council) has been gazetted by the ministry of health and is now official. The registration process can now begin. This will ensure protection of the public, as only genuinely trained acupuncturists and Chinese medicine practitioners will be able to register with the new Council.
