A well-deserved win and a great day out on the green.

Christmas carols filled the Woodcroft Estate a few days ago, bringing everyone together for a cheerful morning in the Lounge. Residents gathered to enjoy festive music from a talented group of singers dressed in Christmas colours, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

After the carols, morning tea was served - a good chance to catch up, chat, and enjoy a friendly break in the lead-up to the holidays.

A simple, happy event that set the tone for the season. 🎄✨

Life at Karaka Pines Villages isn’t defined by big events - it’s the everyday moments that make our communities feel so easy and welcoming. A sunny chat by the garden, a game of pétanque, a shared laugh at the clubhouse… it all adds up to a way of living that feels genuinely good.

We’ve just shared a new story on our website that captures these moments beautifully. Have a read and get a feel for what village life is really like.

The photos say it all, friends catching up, tables filled with beautiful desserts, and a warm end-of-year celebration across the village.

A cheers-worthy update from Regency Park

With liquor licence rules tightening across the country, even smaller villages like ours have had to shift from using a Special Licence for individual events to securing a full on-licence to keep the bar operating.

Regency Park now officially has a full licence. Residents marked the milestone on Friday evening with a relaxed catch-up at the bar.

It’s great to have this favourite spot back in action.

It was a great afternoon at Papamoa on Friday, catching up with both current and soon-to-be residents.

What stood out most was how many future residents are already joining in with village life, especially at Friday Happy Hour. The sense of community is building well before move-in day, and it’s been lovely to see everyone getting to know one another.

Spring in full bloom at Kempton Park 🌸
The gardens are bursting with colour, and the roses are stealing the show - especially the striking ‘bumble bee’ rose 🐝.

It’s lovely to see how vibrant the village looks at this time of year - a perfect reminder to stop and enjoy the beauty around us.

Moments like these remind us what village life is all about - great people, great times, and plenty of reasons to celebrate together.

We’re so proud of our resident, Sue Edmonds, a talented writer whose work has been featured in The Seasons magazine and other publications. Sue recently celebrated the launch of her own biography, Thursday’s Child, at our monthly village morning tea.

Here she is (on the right) gifting a copy to our Roseland Park library — a wonderful addition for fellow residents to enjoy. Congratulations, Sue, on this inspiring achievement!

Construction at the new clubhouse is well underway at Karaka Lifestyle Estate in Auckland. Until recently, the building site was fully fenced off — but that didn’t stop one resident from keeping a close eye on the action.

Trevor (affectionately known as "Where’s Wally") became a regular at the viewing spot, often spotted peeking through the site window to check on progress. In true KLE spirit, Village Manager Christina joined in the fun by putting up a "Wally’s Window" sign and naming the spot "Wally’s Door".

Now that the fence and gate have come down, it’s the end of an era for Wally’s Door — and the beginning of something exciting. The new Clubhouse is looking fantastic, and residents are eagerly awaiting its opening very soon.

We couldn’t find an oversized Santa Claus to sit on his knees, so they took turns hugging around the tree instead.

At our recent happy hour at Waihi Beach Village, residents showcased Kiwi ingenuity with a lively games afternoon. Alongside limbo, an innovative twist on curling took centre stage - using large ice blocks and a plastic sheet slicked with soap for the target. This inventive approach brought smiles and laughter, perfectly embodying the creative and communal spirit of Karaka Pines Waihi Beach.

Don Young, captured in the first photo, is soaking up the sunshine in the beautiful garden he and his wife, Robyn, cultivated together at Karaka Pines Waihi Beach. Don humbly credits Robyn as the one with the green fingers, highlighting the love and care poured into their little oasis.

Accompanying images showcase the splendid gardens of other residents, illustrating the vibrant and nurturing community we're proud to foster here. At Karaka Pines Waihi Beach, we celebrate the joy of gardening, allowing residents to continue their passion for cultivating beauty and tranquillity right in their own backyards.

Phil and Sue Tutty, newcomers to Karaka Pines Waihi Beach, have generously donated over 30 books to our library, significantly enriching our collection. In need of expertise to organise these new additions, Robyn Young (pictured sorting), with 15 years of experience as a librarian in Waihi Beach, stepped forward. Robyn, who aspired to be a librarian since the age of seven, has meticulously arranged and labelled every book, ensuring easy access for all.

Monica Lunny, a frequent visitor, enjoys delving into history and tales of places she's explored, such as Paris and Venice. Her passion for reading reflects the diverse interests of our community. Our heartfelt thanks go to Phil and Sue for their thoughtful donation, to Robyn for her invaluable skills, and to Monica for her avid readership, all of which enhance the vibrant life at Karaka Pines Waihi Beach.
