πŸ€ Ours is not the task of fixing the entire world all at once, but of stretching out to mend the part of the world that is within our reach.

πŸ€ Any small, calm thing that one soul can do to help another soul, to assist some portion of this poor suffering world, will help immensely.

πŸ€ What is needed for dramatic change is an accumulation of acts, adding, adding to, adding more...

πŸ€ One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your Soul.

This theme has been showing up for myself and people in my life recently…
Here’s a gentle reminder ~
Self-Care, A Sacred Responsibility
Taking care of ourselves is not a selfish act;
it is a sacred responsibility.
When we tend to our own needs,
resting when we are weary,
listening to our inner lives,
allowing space for healing,
we are not withdrawing from the world,
but preparing ourselves
to meet it more fully.
Our choices grow clearer,
our presence less hurried.
We listen more than we defend.
We respond rather than react.
Care begins to flow from fullness,
not from effort alone.
When we neglect ourselves,
our patience wears thin,
and we can sometimes find ourselves feeling
exhausted
or overwhelmed.
But when we are nourished,
emotionally,
physically,
spiritually,
we carry more patience
into our days,
more clarity into our choices,
more compassion
into our relationships.
We are less reactive,
more capable of presence.
Our care for others grows steadier,
because our energy is nurtured,
not depleted.
In this way,
caring for ourselves
becomes a form of generosity.
It allows us to give
without resentment,
to support others
without losing ourselves
in the process.
By honoring our own limits and needs,
we show others it is safe to do the same.
We remind one another
that wholeness is not a luxury,
but a foundation,
and from that foundation,
love has room
to breathe,
to grow,
to endure.

πŸ•‰ I recently enjoyed a few days of solo retreat at magical Hakea near Raglan.
Embracing solitude, moving into a slower rhythm, connecting to my heart and authentic self. πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ
Creating space for spontaneity, reflection and dreams. ✨️
Nature always holds and nurtures, providing me with a feeling of belonging and connection. 🌳

It’s not only children who grow. Parents do too. As much as we watch to see what our children do with their lives, they are watching us to see what we do with ours.
I can’t tell my children to reach for the sun. All I can do is reach for it, myself. β˜€οΈπŸ’œβ˜€οΈ

🌸 Pause… place your hand on your heart 🩷 and take some deep breaths.
Say to yourself β€œit is safe for me to take some space, before my body and mind fragment, and stop me in my tracks.”

Keep drawing in the breath, to raise your energy and vibration.
Take moments to be present, find stillness, receive and create a shift. πŸ’«πŸ©·πŸ’«

♋️ "Half of me is filled with bursting words and half of me is painfully shy. I crave solitude yet also crave people. I want to pour life and love into everything yet also nurture my self-care and go gently. I want to live within the rush of primal, intuitive decision, yet also wish to sit and contemplate.

This is the messiness of life - that we all carry multitudes, so must sit with the shifts. We are complicated creatures, and ultimately, the balance comes from this understanding.

Be water. Flowing, flexible and soft. Subtly powerful and open. Wild and serene. Able to accept all changes, yet still led by the pull of steady tides. It is enough.”

🌿 "There's a quiet strength found in choosing not to engage with negativity.
Silence is my new answer to any disrespect.
I no longer react. I no longer argue, and I no longer dive into drama. I simply remove my presence.
I no longer feel the need to react impulsively, to fall into arguments, or to get pulled into needless drama. Instead, when faced with words or actions that chip away at my peace, I simply remove my presence.

This isn't about avoidance; it's a conscious act of protecting my inner world. It’s choosing peace over conflict, self-respect over pointless battles. In this silence, I find a calm that no argument could ever bring, and I honor my own worth by not allowing disrespect to steal my energy." πŸ’« 🩡 πŸ’«

Our Story

Hi I’m Kim, yoga teacher, massage therapist, reiki practitioner, and mum. I believe that wellness and contentment (santosha) is found from within. That by connecting our mind to our body through breath, movement, meditation and relaxation, we can re-connect to our true nature and intuition. My intention is to guide you inwards, to help you create awareness and change, and enhance your daily life and state of well-being.

Based at Waihi Beach, I practice massage and Reiki from a cosy cabin in the garden surrounded by sounds of the ocean and birdsong. My yoga classes are held at the Katikati Community Centre, 45 Beach Rd, Katikati

I love the synergy of Yoga and Massage therapies, the power of breath and movement, and the way they can be utilised to release long held tension, emotions, fears and holding patterns of the body in a supported way. More recently I’ve been working with Reiki, and love the benefits that this subtle therapy can provide to my clients, creating a deeper level of healing. I enjoy working intuitively, and use high quality essential oils to enhance relaxation and healing. With over 17 years experience in private practice I treat a wide range of clients, including referrals from local G.P's, physiotherapists and osteopaths.

I also hold Women's Moon Circles in a beautiful yurt at Waihi Beach where women can connect and share in a supported space.
