🌟 What an incredible day at the Kāpiti Disability Expo! 🌟
We were thrilled to welcome around 200 attendees from across the Lower North Island, all coming together to connect, learn, and access vital services.

A huge thank you to the Nikau Foundation for funding the event, allowing us to make it FREE for the community and local services. Your support made a real difference!

Gratitude also to KCDC’s Connected Communities team, especially Norie, for their guidance and support. We appreciate your contribution towards sign language interpreters, making our workshops more accessible.

Special thanks to Manawanui, Aotearoa Disability Law, PASAT, and Volition for hosting informative workshops that empowered our community.

A big shoutout to the amazing People First members for their hard work on the day—your efforts helped make this event a success!

We also extend our appreciation to the Tāngata Whaikaha Disability Network (Kāpiti Community Health Network) for their invaluable assistance in organizing the event. Your support was instrumental in bringing everything together.

To all the amazing local services who participated—thank you for working alongside our disabled community during this time of change. Your presence helped make information, supports, and services more accessible and easier to navigate.

This event was all about supporting the Kāpiti community as we navigate shifts in funding and service delivery. Together, we’re building a more inclusive and informed future. 💙
