📣 📣 📣 Feedbins - Time to act 📣 📣 📣

For all those people that have contacted me, or thought about ordering a feed bin, now is the time! In another month I will be GST registered so feed bins will go from $350 to $350 + GST ($402.50). Save yourself a dollar and get in now if you want one.

Secure feed storage bin to keep your expensive feed away from mice.

These feed bins can be set up internally however best suits your needs. No dividers, spaced dividers, a shelf to store supplements on, just let me know. Standard is three bays with the supplement shelf but if you want something different that’s also fine.

These can be made in varying sizes but the measurements for a standard size are:
1200mm wide
875mm deep
600mm high at front (excl legs)
865mm high at back (excl legs)

Other configurations can be made on request.

Pick up in Te Kauwhata or potentially can be delivered for a fee if nearby.

So how does Scar Tissue Therapy work?

Scars are created when there is a trauma to the body (internal or external) and the normal tissue fibres that are streamlined and straight are replaced with fibrotic tissue that is overlapping, in any direction and stuck together.

By gently stretching the scar with fingertip pressure the scar loosens enough to rehydrate and relax, thereby creating a flatter, less rigid scar.

No matter the age a scar will respond to treatment leaving the animal with less discomfort, tightness and impairment.

Cool huh? Does your horse have a scar that could do with some help?

Let's talk Gelding Scars!

Scars are created when there is trauma to the body (internal or external) and the normal tissue is replaced with fibrotic tissue. The new fibrotic tissue can become adhered to the fascia or internal organs causing pain in seemingly unrelated locations. These adhesions can also result in restricted range of movement and flexibility.

Research indicates that geldings can have lifelong issues relating to their castration scars due to the scar tissue becoming fibrotic and adhering to the surrounding tissue. This can result in tightness, discomfort, restricted movement and, in extreme cases, can lead to bucking and issues with lateral movement or propulsion.

MSTR® is a pain free method of helping your horse by using gentle, fingertip pressure to release the fibrotic tissue and restrictions. This technique can be used on any scar, no matter the age.

If you would like to discuss your geldings behaviour and performance please get in touch.

Sad news ☹️

From 1 April the government would like to join our working relationship by way of claiming GST. Yep, I'm not thrilled about that either.

The good news is that we still have six weeks until then so now seems like a great time book your horse or dog in for treatment before then!

Question five of the most commonly asked questions I receive:

Why is my horse / dog so tired after Bowen Therapy treatment?

Following treatment, the body goes through a resetting phase that quietens the nervous system and expels toxins. This can leave the horse or dog feeling quite relaxed or quite tired. You may also notice that they are more thirty as toxins leave the body.
