As we prepare for the Forest Healing Festival, we’re also creating the Earth Village glamping zone.
Our hope is that many people will come to Earth Village, stay in the glamping tents, and feel the clear, pure energy of the Puketi Forest through their whole being.

We’re also preparing a forest sauna and a carbonated mineral water experience, so guests can rest, soak, and truly reconnect with nature.

Nestled on 156 hectares of stunning natural land, Earth Village is preparing for something very special.

After 10 years of care, dedication, and growth, we are finally holding our very first festival.

We believe in becoming “Earth Citizens” — people living together beyond religion, race, and nationality.
As Earth Village continues to grow and share this vision with the world, we would love for you to be part of this journey. 😍

💛 What’s Included During the Volunteer Weekend:

The Hwangchil tree is one of only three trees in the world whose traditional name is associated with being a “cure-all.”
It is well known for its wide range of medicinal properties, considered very potent and traditionally regarded as having no significant side effects. 🌿

We see great potential in planting Hwangchil trees on currently underutilised land in Northland, New Zealand, where they could become a valuable and sustainable source of income. 🌱💚
At the moment, we have begun with a sample farm. There is still a long journey ahead — from food registration to product development and commercialisation — but we are moving forward with hope.

If this entire process is successfully completed, we believe it could open the door to sharing this tree with others and encouraging more people to grow it.
Currently, we are harvesting seeds from Hwangchil trees grown in New Zealand and cultivating second-generation Hwangchil trees, which are growing incredibly well and strong.

We would love to have conversations with many people about this as a potential alternative model for agriculture — and as a regenerative, future-focused opportunity. 🌏

At Earth Village, we’ve been slowly cutting down some of the pine trees to make the chairs and pillars we need. I’m deeply grateful to the volunteer friends who came to help with this work. 🤍🪵

There are still many pine trees at Earth Village, and we’re continuing to clear them little by little, with care and intention. Our hope is that the land will gradually return to its natural forest state. 🌲🌱

It would be wonderful if more friends could come to Earth Village and join us in this beautiful process — restoring the land and creating a healthy, living forest together. 🌏✨🌿

We’re excited to share a collaboration that celebrates a shared commitment to connection, healing, and raising consciousness.

We would like to honor in the wonderful Dana from Consciously Living, who is passionately opening space for wellness providers across NZ. We had the pleasure of meeting and connecting at Earth Village recently and felt our values aligned so beautifully.

We’re excited to share our collaboration that brings together Consciously Living, Earth Village, and The Forest Healing Festival.

Rooted in the principle of Gong Saeng (공생) - thriving together through co-existence - this coming together reflects a belief that healing, growth, and impact are strengthened through collaboration. It honours reciprocity, shared purpose, and the understanding that we are deeply interconnected.

By aligning values and visions, this collective creates space for deeper connection between people, place, and practice, while laying foundations for collaborative futures grounded in healing, raising consciousness, and connection with all things.

🌱 Syntropic Gardening at Earth Village

James has been studying syntropic gardening for many years and has been teaching it in various places. He has a genuine passion for creating these gardens, and that passion is deeply felt when you spend time with him.

At Earth Village, we’ve been wanting to continue growing medicinal trees and herbs. However, we’ve also felt that simply planting herbs on grassy land doesn’t fully align with the vision we hold for this place. So learning about syntropic gardening came at such perfect timing — we felt truly grateful for the opportunity.

A truly special place is being created at Earth Village.
It’s not finished yet, but it will be a unique space where people can experience naturally carbonated mineral water. We believe it will become a beautiful sanctuary for rest and renewal, nestled deep in the forest.
