Our Story

My name is Shari De wet and I am a 34 yr old mum of 3 young boys. My oldest Jacob is 8, Connor is 6 and the baby of the house Bayly, is 2.

I grew up in Mangawhai, Northland however, we made the move to Hawke’s Bay four years ago. We were attracted by the work opportunities for my husband and the more affordable housing.

My life has changed significantly since I made the decision to study and become a child sleep consultant. After experiencing brutal sleep deprivation for 5 years with my first two children, I knew I need to do something different when I fell pregnant with my third.

I loved studying and learning about different sleep methods, however having young children and working part time, it took longer than expected to complete the qualification. The reading of many books was the hardest part, every time I picked up a book, I would fall asleep!

During my studies I have learnt the science behind sleep and how I can support others to work with the body’s natural circadian rhythm to achieve sleep easier. I have learnt vast amounts about sleep environments, different techniques, safe sleep, routines and nutrition all from a variety of sleep experts. During my studies I have had an experienced mentor support me as I successfully worked with 12 volunteer clients with children ranging from 3 weeks to 5 years.

Since achieving my child sleep consultancy qualification I have started a business HUSH. The aim of HUSH is to support other families to understand current sleep patterns and establish new routines to achieve the bliss of positive sleep.

HUSH offers different packages such as;

home consultations with hands on assistance or, distance packages, where I guide you through the process via phone calls, txt or FB msg or email. Both of these packages come with a step by step plan tailored for each individual client, and a period of support while you make the necessary changes.

I love my Job, its incredibly rewarding, I love getting that happy message from a mum in the morning, it makes my day.
