Yesterday for our literacy programme, we used story dice. You roll the dice and the items you get have to be in your story. The ideas in the story the clients came up with are amazing. I am so proud of them.

We were absolutely blown away! Yesterday Lisa and Tina from Property Brokers CHB presented us with an incredible donation of $6,600.00 We are beyond thrilled to have been chosen as a recpient of the recent 2025 Winter Olympics, an annual fundraising event organised by Claire Wilson and her wonderful team of volunteers.

This year’s event raised a phenomenal $80,000, with $53,000 going to the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter, and several local groups also benefiting. This generous donation will have a lasting impact on our service, significantly supporting our annual budget. These funds will contributed towards operating our Centre van for the next twelve months—an essential part of our service that connects our clients to community facilities, local shops, services, medical appointments, etc. We also have a few other exciting projects on our wish list that this contribution will help bring to life!

We are incredibly grateful for this support, and words cannot express how much this means to us. A huge thank you to Lisa, Claire, and everyone involved in this year’s Winter Olympics—you are truly amazing!

A bit of craft on Thursday using felt as a background to make a scene. The clients made a plan which we used as a pattern. They then sewed or glued things on. We are so proud of them and the choices they made. Not one looks the same and they are as unique as the creator. They are backed and proudly hanging at the centre so we can all enjoy them.
