I provide remedial, relaxation, sports, pregnancy and aromatherapy massage, Dr Vodder Lymphatic Drainage, and traditional Reiki, all to help you feel a bit more amazing again. I finished studying my Diploma of Therapeutic Massage and Remedial Therapies in 2009 in Auckland, and have gone on to formally study further in Advanced Sports Massage, Aromatherapy, Traditional Thai Massage and Myofascial Release. I’m a registered level 6 massage therapist with Massage New Zealand, and a member of Sports Medicine NZ, which means that I’m committed to on-going learning and development, every year. Last and definitely not least, I am currently studying the Dr Vodder technique of Manual Lymphatic Drainage and Combined Decongestive Therapy. As this is an extremely in depth technique catering to all levels of lymphatic system pathologies, I am not yet qualified or trained well enough to treat people with less than healthy lymphatic systems - keep me in mind for early 2021 when I will have completed my training! New toy! Finally I remembered 😁 by the power of instagram algorithms and impulsive buying, I’ve just got myself a new TENS device from from right here in NZ.

Have you used one before??
I spent about an hour playing with all the settings and I LOVE it.
My physio has been encouraging me to get one to help with the chronic pain that I still experience from my surfing injury (two years ago already!! 🫣), so I’m going to give this one a go.
I liked the look of it because you can use it without any wires getting in the way or twisted around you.

If you’re not familiar with these types of gadgets, I think I’ll explain another time how they work to interrupt the pain signals..so check in again!

Now to test how high I can set this while I’m massaging someone 😁

Imagine waking up from an hour long massage, completely blissed out from drifting in and out of a half sleep state, carried by the sound of the gentle breaking of waves on the shore line, and you see nothing but this beautiful view of calm water and blue skies. Maybe the occasional boat in the distance (they never come too close).

Wouldn’t that be lovely??

I was relaxing down here in the sunshine on the flat rock shelf last weekend thinking ‘dayum…this would be the absolute perfect spot for a massage, I wonder if I can set that up somehow’
Definitely a summertime only thing, but If I could organise it…would you come?

Back to work today! Happy 2026 🥳
I hope you’ve had (still having!?) a lovely break and are getting some good downtime in.

I’ll be getting through my emails soon, there’s a few sitting there! So please fear not if you haven’t heard from me quite yet 😊

I dunno about you, but I’ve been L O V I N G this sunshine that’s finally made its way to us, and ofcourse it’s an absolute bonus being so close to the water too. Being able to wander down and dip my feet in the ocean is something I find so relaxing 🥰

Today I’ve got the windows open wide, and despite the fan on high you can still hear the birds in the trees and the waves down below. How good?!

I’ve changed my online booking so you can only book a few weeks ahead. My schedule further out is a little up in the air and will stay that way for a few months, but if you’re booking a massage online and can’t find what you want, you’re welcome as always to message me and I’ll see what I can do 😊

Keen to get in for a massage before Christmas?

Online voucher sales are back!!
I’ve had a bit of a confusing time figuring out the voucher expiry laws change in March next year.
New rules come in to place on March 16 2026, which means current rules still apply for vouchers sold before then.

Vouchers can be sold through my website (with transaction fee included), or through me manually with online payment.

Everything has been updated on my website, so you can now go for gold and buy all your loved ones massage vouchers for Christmas pressies 🤓😉😁
Any issues, please let me know, but it should all be smooth sailing.

I am feeling very proud of myself and grateful to have been able to spend 8 days recently learning as much as possible about Reiki from Frank Arjava Petter.

He came to Auckland a year ago to teach Jikiden Reiki Shoden and Okuden (levels one and two), and returned last week to teach Shoden and Okuden to a new group of people, as well as the first level of teacher training to those of us who also returned.

Arjava’s knowledge of, experience with, and dedication to Reiki through his lifetime are profoundly inspiring. Having learnt from Chiyoko Yamaguchi (who learnt from Hayashi sensei) and been the Vice President of the Jikiden Reiki association for almost 20 years, his teachings honour and preserve the original form and style of Japanese Reiki, that Western Reiki has unfortunately diluted/changed.

Being in this type of learning environment for 8 days is an intense and beautiful experience. All the energy, all the emotions, all the teachings and small moments. I’m in awe of how powerful this work can be, and I hope you will get to experience it as I have.

Arjava , thank you for your time, your presence, your wisdom and your heart.
I am honoured to now call myself one of the first 6 Shihankaku of the Arjava Reiki Institute.

I’ve decided it’s time I add a FAQs page to my website. I already get a few key FAQs about my massage work and lymphatic drainage and I’m wondering if there’s more questions out there!

9am sunshine o’clock slot in the massage room!
I’m in here warming things up for my first client of the day, a new pregnancy massage booking 🥰

As the sun starts to rise further round to the east, we will be getting more and more sunshine pass over the treatment table for the 9am booking. What bliss!! Massage + relax + sunshine on your body….who needs to go Fiji when you can get it all here!? 😉

Slightly out of the ordinary this week, my three evening spaces (mon/tues/weds) are still available. Need a treatment after work? You can book yourself in online or send me a message.

Saturday massage? I’ve got my calendar open for massage, reiki, or lymphatic drainage treatments this coming Saturday. Just a couple of morning spaces will be showing on the online booking portal, and once these fill up I will have space for an early afternoon treatment too.

What’s easiest for all you parents/caregivers out there during school holidays? Week days, week nights, or Saturdays? Orrrr do you prefer to wait til the kids are back at school?!
