Exciting news for Hobsonville! 👋

We’re thrilled to welcome Vanessa to our Hobsonville clinic, starting Monday 23rd February.

Vanessa is an experienced physiotherapist with over 10 years in practice, and a special interest in women’s and pelvic health. She takes a compassionate, whole-person approach and is passionate about helping people of all ages and life stages feel their best.

Her specialty areas include:
• Women’s & pelvic health
• Pre and post-natal care
• Musculoskeletal physiotherapy

Vanessa holds a BHSc (Physiotherapy) and has further training in advanced women’s health, acupuncture and dry needling, and clinical Pilates.

If you’ve been looking for support with pelvic health, pregnancy or post-natal concerns, or general physio, she’d love to help.

Now booking for Mondays from 23rd February at our Hobsonville clinic, she will also be available at our Riverhead clinic from next week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

We’re looking for a friendly, organised, and reliable Receptionist to join our team! 🙌

👉 Role: Full-Time Receptionist
📍 Location: Hobsonville, Auckland
📆 Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm

You’ll be the first point of contact for patients, helping with bookings, phones, emails, payments, and more — all while working with a supportive and friendly team.

💡 Experience with Gensolve and/or Cliniko software, and ACC processes, would be an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right person.

As we ease into 2026, we just wanted to say a huge thank you to our amazing Hobsonville community for the support, trust, and kindness you’ve shown us over the past year. We’re so grateful to be part of such a supportive, welcoming neighbourhood - it really means the world to our whole team.

We’ve got some exciting news coming in 2026 (watch this space 👀), we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.

Wellness Wednesday Tip: Support Your Knees with Strength

🦵 Your knees work hard, whether you're walking the dog, chasing the kids, or hitting the trails. One of the best ways to protect them? Strengthen the muscles around them.

Try this simple move:
🏋Wall Sit Hold

✔️ Stand with your back against a wall
✔️ Slide down until knees are at 90°
✔️ Hold for 20–30 seconds, then rest
✔️ Repeat 3–5 times

This activates your quads and glutes, key players in knee stability. If you’re dealing with knee pain or want a tailored plan, our physios are here to help.

Running tips for beginners!

Thinking of taking up running? Awesome! But before you hit the pavement, here are 4 tips to help you run smarter not harder and avoid injury:

💡 1. Rest is part of the plan
Running every day won’t make you faster, it might just get you injured. Aim for 3 runs a week and give your body time to recover.

💪 2. Strength matters
Building strength (especially in weaker areas) helps with endurance and injury prevention. We can help you target the right muscles.

👟 3. Shoes + surface = safety
Grass is gentler than concrete, and the right shoes make all the difference. Get fitted properly and choose supportive footwear.

🧠 4. Listen to your body
Some soreness is normal. But if pain lasts more than 48 hours or stops you from running, come see us. Early treatment = faster recovery.

We work closely with Hobsonville Podiatry to make sure your feet are supported every step of the way - from footwear advice to injury prevention.
