Does this look like your kind of yoga?
Join me for my upcoming Restorative yoga immersion at Hilltop Haven for 2 hours of supported shapes, guided mediation and breathing practices to support your body and mind in slowing down and landing more fully in your present moment experience.

These practices arent about performing wellness. You wont see any headstands or intense breath-work here.

These practices are designed to allow space for you to meet yourself and to begin to detach and unwind for the constant noise and movement of your daily life. A window of calm presence in your day or week.

If this resonates and you'd like to join us you can book your spot here

A little update from Kirsty-May...

Some of you have practiced with me over the years at Yoga Lane and I’m so grateful for those shared moments.

I’m excited to let you know that I’ve been creating something new called The Quiet Body — a virtual space for gentle yoga, nervous system support, and body-trusting practices.

Over the coming months I’ll be building a library of recorded classes, meditations, and somatic tools you can access online, in your own time.

Eventually, I hope to offer live online classes and some in-person workshops again — but for now, this is a slow, nourishing unfolding.

If you feel drawn to quiet, healing, and deeply supportive practice, I’d love for you to follow along.

You can find The Quiet Body on Facebook and Instagram (links in the comments).

With love and gratitude,
Kirsty

Acknowledging the huge contribution Alex and Kirsty have made to the Waiuku yoga community over the last 5 years - with Yoga Lane Studios closing its doors at the beginning of this year, the teachers involved with the studio are proud to continue teaching community classes as the newly formed and loosely knit Waiuku Yoga Collective.

Featuring a rotating cast of familiar faces, all classes are suitable for regulars and beginners alike. Starting from the 12th of February, BYO mat and payment is cash only.

We look forward to seeing you on the mat soon!

With great sadness we are announcing that Yoga Lane Studios is closing its doors.

Five years ago, we had a dream to provide Waiuku and its surrounding area with authentic, accessible, affordable yoga and since opening in 2019 we’ve done our best to do just that.

To our dedicated members we are so sorry.

We know Yoga Lane and your weekly practise with a real teacher and real people next to you has become a big part of your life. We would love to continue providing that service but we just don’t have the resources to keep going.

One silver lining is Kirsty will continue teaching. If you’re interested in keeping up with that then please send us a DM.
It will likely be a combination of online and pop up local classes available both live and on demand.

This has been a very difficult decision. We put our heart and souls into this place and we know it means a lot to many of you. We survived covid, having a baby, a rollercoaster of highs and lows and we are sad to be letting go now.

Barring any last minute miracles we’ll be dismantling the studio over the next few weeks so if you’re passing feel free to pop your head in and say hey.

Hopefully in the future another space arises in Waiuku to bring together likeminded people.

We really believe in yoga. It’s changed our lives and in the last five years we’ve seen it transform other peoples lives too. We wish you all the best in life but also hope this isn’t the end of your yoga journey, just a turn in the road.

Go well,

Alex and Kirsty x

Your monthly dose of NSDR (non-sleep deep rest) meditation is here. Monday 4th Dec at 5.30pm

Why NSDR?
It's been getting a lot of press recently for its amazing and immediate benefits.

NSDR activates your parasympathetic nervous system, the part of your nervous system that deals with rest and digestion. That means you improve your ability to self regulate during stress , and get a better nights sleep. It's also shown to replenish physical energy and increase cognitive function as well as increasing striatal dopamine
