Have you hurt your thumb while out adventuring? Skiers thumb injury can be a ligament or bone injury which affects your stability of your thumb. Timely assessment and treatment is important to achieve a good outcome. Our hand therapists can assess your thumb and make a splint to keep you comfortable. If needed, they can also refer you for investigations and to a specialist.

Does somebody you know have limitations because of difficulties breathing?

Respiratory class is currently a virtual class, every Tuesday at 11.10. for approximately 50 minutes. It is aimed at adults with long term respiratory conditions such as COPD and bronchiectasis, amongst others.
Age is no barrier.

To start attending you just need to have a one on one appointment with our physio Vanessa first so she knows your condition and your history. The class is exercise based, and is individualised to your exercise capacity. The goal is to improve your capacity to do more activity with less respiratory limitation. 

The cost of each class is $15. Some funding may be available for the initial physiotherapy appointment.

This winter our Cardrona physiotherapists attended training with Snow Sports New Zealand and are getting involved with Cardrona Alpine Resort, NZ High-Performance Centre on-snow warm ups. Keep those bottoms tucked in on your plank and commit to the world's greatest stretch!

WINTER HOURS: starting from tomorrow we are open in the clinic: Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 11-5:30 and in our satellite clinic up the mountain 7 days 8:30-4. Keeping you covered for the whole winter ⛷️🕺🏻

Jenny has been traveling as one of the Physio's for the NZ track cycling team while they compete on the international stage. These sprint and endurance track cyclists competed at World Championships in Jakarta and Oceania Championships in Brisbane. Congratulations to all athletes who completed personal best times and medaled at these events. The athletes' hard work and dedication to their sport has been highlighted with their results and Jenny has loved every minute of her travels 🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻‍♂️
