I don't ask my clients for testimonials but when they offer I always say YES PLEASE! Working for the past 2 years with this gorgeous young lady has been such a privilege. It takes so much strength and tenacity to come off medications, face OCD, endometriosis and depression head on; let alone rebuild a body and mind from scratch. Supporting her through this journey has been incredibly inspiring. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

No recipe, full free styling πŸ™β€οΈπŸ™but it looked something like
πŸ₯¬lettuce
πŸ«’ olives, tomatoes, peppers, cucumber, mixed herbs and olive oil Greek salad
πŸ₯— mint yoghurt
πŸ₯‘Avocado
πŸ” chicken balls...just mixed chicken mince, thyme, garlic powder and onion. Bake for 25 mins

New Year.....New Month.... New day..... New Space... New Times..... New Flow... New YOU.
All it takes is one small change at a time and these little changes add up to big changes in your whole being.
Whether it's food...relationships....study.... work.... exercise....now is the time to bring in an incremental change. One step at a time.

Time to get back on your mat!
Feeling overwhelmed with the enormity of your 'To Do' list at the start of the school year? I know for me, juggling holistic nutrition consults, family, and finishing my thesis would not be doable without time on my mat. Even 10 minutes a day is enough to down-regulate the nervous system.
But ideally you would come to one of my classes this term 🧘🏼 πŸ˜‚πŸ§˜πŸΌ
Please please book though as we have been chocca in the past week!
🧘🏼 Friday 915 am Blend (first half functional Pilates, 2nd half yoga)
🧘🏼 Saturday 830am Vinyasa Flow (new time this year)
🧘🏼 Sunday 530pm Yin (Think Va**um)
And remember we are in a new location, right beside the gym now!

πŸ™This year I have noticed my holistic nutrition clients struggling more with mood / happiness / dopamine regulation than ever before.
πŸ™It's important on 'low days' to focus on small wins through the day; celebrate basic tasks such as putting out a load of washing, taking clothes to the op shop or vacuuming.
πŸ™Humans are exhausting their dopamine via phone use, online shopping, gambling, drinking, drugs, p**n..... you get the idea.
πŸ™To help you re-set, try putting your phone in the back of the car when you are driving so you don't check insta at the traffic lights and can zone out to radio New Zealand.
πŸ™Try walking with no noise, no podcast,
No music, no distractions, just whatever you are bringing into your brain via your senses from your surroundings.
πŸ™Stop shopping online and go into actual shops to hang out with other humans.
πŸ™Even these tiny changes can make a huge difference. Your digestion will be better. Your immune system will kick in as it's meant to. Your mindset will allow you to rise to life's inevitable hurdles.
πŸ™And always remember, if something comes to you easily, it will steal dopamine. If you have to work to get something, you'll increase serotonin.

Sleep sleep sleep....So illusive when you most need it. Especially when writing a thesis on it! πŸ’€This is a wee snippet from my most recent talk on πŸ’€ head over to their website to listen to the whole webinar, or to linked in to sign up for their life changing Tuesday newsletters. In the interim, key takeaways for elite sleep habits include ---
πŸ’€ keep a regular sleep/ wake schedule (including weekends)
πŸ’€ maximise sleep before midnight
πŸ’€ look at the sun first thing
πŸ’€ no caffeine after 2pm (it has a 12 hour lifespan in your body so ideally it would be earlier)
πŸ’€ 30 minute wind down with no screens
πŸ’€ sleep in a cool room (18 degrees is optimal)
πŸ’€ brain dump before bed so that your mind doesn't start racing when you wake for a wee
πŸ’€ use 15 minute increments to change your sleep cycle
πŸ’€ replace energising exercise with calming exercise in the evening. Think yoga over spin.
