Today on International Women’s Day, I’ve been reflecting on why I’m about to launch my new practice, The MindFitness Dr. Clinic.
Over the years working as a psychiatrist, I’ve seen so many women quietly struggling — with overwhelm, burnout, emotional exhaustion, and the feeling that life is somehow harder than it should be.
Often the missing piece was never explained.
For many women, the challenges were connected to ADHD and the impact of hormonal transitions across the lifespan — from puberty and early adulthood, through pregnancy and motherhood, and into perimenopause.
These experiences are common, yet so often misunderstood.
My hope in launching The MindFitness Dr is to create a space where women can receive thoughtful, holistic support — combining ADHD assessment and treatment guided by lifestyle medicine, trauma therapy, and coaching grounded in self-compassion.
Because when women understand their brains, bodies, and nervous systems, something powerful happens:
Self-blame begins to soften.Clarity begins to grow. And new possibilities emerge.
Today I’m celebrating women everywhere — and feeling grateful to be beginning this new chapter of work supporting women through life’s transitions.
I’ll be sharing more about the launch of The MindFitness Dr Clinic in the coming weeks.
Happy International Women’s Day. 🌸
