So good to be part of the first ever Wellington 10K.

Through Zone Blue, we were lucky to be involved, and it was unreal to see multiple run clubs out there all backing the event. The energy was next level. High fives, encouragement, and people genuinely supporting each other the whole way.

Massive credit to Abbas for putting this together. You’ve created something special here.

On the day, the mission was simple. To get Kenzie sub-40 for the 10K. We got close. Close enough to know it’s there. So we go again.

Kenzie, huge effort. That was a quality run.

To the Zone Blue crew, so many PBs and strong performances. Proud of the group.

Now it’s about recovering, resetting, and locking in for Hawke’s Bay.

International Women’s Week Reflection

This week was a really meaningful one.

Instead of just celebrating International Women’s Day, we wanted to create an International Women’s Week within the Zone Blue community. The idea was to host a series of events led by women while also supporting female-led businesses here in Wellington.

There were so many highlights. Meeting incredible women like Sophie, listening to inspiring stories from Steph, Amanda, Becca and Amelia, watching Charlotte shine, having Sophie help me organise the week, and seeing Julie lead a beautiful meditation. It was also amazing seeing the women lead the warm-ups and take over the speed session.

I also learned a lot this week. Even something as simple as the colours behind the movement. I wore green intentionally, which symbolises hope. Hope for more opportunities for women and more open conversations about the challenges women face.

For me, being an ambassador is about uplifting the community and supporting people, even in spaces where I’m still learning and growing in my understanding. Just because this was a women-led initiative doesn’t mean I can’t support it. If anything, it’s important that we show up, listen, and help create space for those voices.

Even though the week is coming to an end, the mission doesn’t stop.

A huge thank you to all the amazing women, local businesses, the Zone Blue community, and Lululemon for supporting this initiative.

Because real change doesn’t happen when we work against each other.
It happens when we work together.

I came here thinking it would be 12 months.

16 years later, this place is home.

To everyone who’s helped shape that, thank you.
Friends, family, community. You mean more to me than you’ll ever know.

I’m here with one purpose. To build community, help people, help myself, and make sure my family and my son are healthy and doing well.

Onwards and upwards 💙

Another announcement. One I genuinely did not see coming.

In 2020, I became the first Run Ambassador for in Wellington. That chapter gave me more than I could have imagined. Support. Kindness. Belief. Opportunity.

That support helped spark Zone Blue, shaped my path into men’s health advocacy, and showed me the true power of community through running.

My time ended. I stayed grateful. I kept showing up. I always said yes when called upon.

And now, six years later, I’m incredibly proud to say I’m back as a lululemon Running Ambassador for 2026.

The mission has not changed:
Build community.
Connect people through running.
Use movement as a tool for better health.
YOU HAVE TO MOVE TO IMPROVE.

But there’s a new layer now too.
Running as an older athlete.
Showing that age, s*x, race, or background should never be the reason you stop doing what brings you joy.

If running lights you up, keep going.
If it helps you feel more like yourself, keep showing up.

A massive thank you to the entire lululemon family. You’ve opened doors I never thought possible. To be back in this position is honestly surreal, and I promise to do it justice.

Respect to Aaron and Meg, who set the standard and built something special. I’m proud to carry that forward and excited for what the next 12 months will bring.

lululemon Ambassador 2026.
Never say never. I'm back baby.

Round the Bays is one of my favourite events to do each year. Usually for the weather… although this year had other plans.

Despite the conditions, spirits were high, the performances were unreal, and the community once again showed why this event is so special. Zone Blue has been part of this event before, but seeing the crew racing in the singlets for the first time was something I won’t forget.

A massive thank you to the Athlete’s Foot and the Athlete’s Foot team who came down to support us. From entries, to opportunities to win shoes, and having a place to come together after the event, the support genuinely means a lot. I appreciate you all so much and I’m stoked to be an ambassador again. Looking forward to many more events together.

Proud to pace my client Greg to a PB. Moments like that are why I love running. The more you give to the community, the more it gives back.

Grateful for everyone who showed up, supported, and made the day what it was

Proud to be announced as one of the new Shokz ambassadors for Australia & New Zealand 🙏

I’ve been using Shokz since around 2019, right from the early days of my running journey. Long runs, races, bike sessions, gym work, they’ve been a constant. What I love most is the tech that keeps you aware of your surroundings while still enhancing your training. Safety matters.

Being able to now share this with my run club and the wider community makes it even more special. I’m incredibly grateful to work alongside a brand that genuinely supports runners and athletes.

Feeling very thankful and excited for what’s ahead. Codes and goodies coming soon to help you level up your training

Thrilled to share that I’ll be continuing with The Athlete’s Foot as an ambassador for another year. I’m grateful for their ongoing support, not only for me, but for the Zone Blue community and the opportunities they create for runners to experience great footwear.

Looking forward to another year of honest reviews, learning, and growing together. Onwards to 2026.

My best running shoes of 2025:

Everyday cushion: Nike Vomero Plus
Soft, stable, super comfortable for those longer daily miles.

Best everyday trainer: Adizero Evo SL
Light on foot, responsive, easy to pick up the pace when you need it.

Best all-rounder: ASICS Superblast 2
Great for easy runs, tempos, and long days. Fast but still protective.

Favorite race shoe: Hoka Cielo 1.2
Carbon pop, smooth ride, and feels fast from start to finish.

Huge thank you to The Athlete’s Foot for the support and the chance to test these out. Plenty more reviews and miles coming in 2026.

Queenstown Recap.

Here’s a quick recap of an amazing weekend. I had the privilege of running the Queenstown Marathon as part of the Athlete’s Foot family, and being an ambassador made the whole experience even more special.

The shoe of choice was the ASICS Superblast 2. A fantastic option for a course with everything thrown at you: uneven terrain, trail, road, sand, grass, hills, descents, and every gradient you can think of. Light, responsive, and handled it all like a Swiss Army knife. If you’re thinking about doing this race, I’d highly recommend a shoe that can adapt to all surfaces.

Feeling blessed and grateful. Massive thank you to The Athlete’s Foot for having me and allowing me to be part of such a special occasion.
