Our childhoods are incredibly influential in forming how we think and act in our adult lives. These well-established patterns, which are created by repeated thoughts that morph into beliefs, can be a major impediment in our lives.
For instance, if we were told as kids that we weren't good enough, then those negative ideas will become part of our subconscious mind, influencing our behavior and decisions. This whole process is backed up by science.
These same habits may be preventing us from moving forward and even causing us physical and mental pain. We can become stuck in a loop, each time hitting the same obstacles and gradually eroding our self-trust and our ability to deal with changes.

Join me for 7 days to explore the source of your weight issues and ultimately free yourself.

Marisa Peer is a world-renowned therapist, speaker, and author who has developed a unique approach to therapy known as Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT). RTT is a powerful and effective therapy that helps individuals overcome their struggles with weight, binge eating, and other addictive and destructive behaviors. Through RTT, therapists have helped countless individuals break free from the negative patterns and behaviors that had been holding them back.

At the core of RTT is the belief that the unconscious mind is the ultimate source of all our problems and the only way to truly heal is to access the unconscious mind. Through a combination of hypnosis and talk therapy, therapists help their clients identify and address the root causes of their issues. This process helps eliminate the underlying triggers that have been driving their destructive and self-defeating behaviors.

The goal of RTT is to provide each individual with the tools they need to take control of their life and to make positive and lasting change. Through RTT, therapists help their clients form a strong connection to their innermost self and gain insight into the deeper issues that are blocking them from achieving their goals. By recognizing the patterns and behaviors that have been preventing them from achieving their true potential, clients are able to let go of the destructive and addictive behaviors that have been holding them back.

Through RTT, we can help clients become empowered to make the changes needed to achieve their goals and live a more fulfilled life. By acknowledging the root causes of their issues and addressing them head-on, individuals can break free from their self-destructive and addictive behaviors and take control of their life. Marisa Peer’s Rapid Transformational Therapy is an invaluable tool for anyone looking to make positive and lasting change in their life.

Setting goals is an important part of personal growth, and SMART goal setting can be an effective tool. SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Timely. These five principles provide a framework for setting and achieving goals.

For example, if you want to break a bad habit like binge eating or destructive eating, you can set a SMART goal like “I will cut out sugar from my diet and lose 10 pounds in the next three months.” This goal is specific; it states exactly what you want to do and how you will do it. It is also measurable – you can track your weight and sugar intake over three months. It is attainable – 10 pounds in three months is a realistic goal. It is relevant – cutting out sugar is a good way to lose weight. And it is timely – three months gives you enough time to make a real change.

By following the SMART goal-setting process, you can break a bad habit like binge eating or destructive eating. You can also use SMART goals to target other bad habits like smoking, drinking, or procrastination. The key is to set a specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely goal. This will ensure that you have a plan in place and are more likely to stick to it. With SMART goals, you can break your bad habits and make real progress in your personal and professional life.

Does it ever make you feel bad when you look at yourself in the mirror and see the weight you’ve gained? Or maybe you’re a binge eater and sometimes you can’t control it? Or are you stuck in a destructive eating pattern, like eating too much sugar, that has become a bad habit? Whenever we do these things, it’s easy to start to feel disconnected from our bodies. We might think that it’s too late to make any changes and the energy in these parts of our lives get stuck.

But it’s never too late to make a change, no matter how long you’ve been stuck in a bad habit. Instead of focusing on the weight, binge eating, and destructive eating patterns, focus on how you can make positive changes. Start by asking yourself why you’re feeling disconnected from your body and what you can do to reconnect.

Think about how you can nourish your body and mind with healthier habits and activities. Maybe start exercising regularly, eating more vegetables, and getting enough sleep. These activities can help shift the energy in your body and reconnect you with it.

It’s also important to be kind to yourself. If you’re feeling guilty about your weight, binge eating, or destructive eating, don’t dwell on it. Acknowledge it, forgive yourself, and move on. Stop beating yourself up and instead focus on the positive changes you can make.

It can be hard to break out of old habits, but it’s not impossible. Focus on your weight, binge eating, and destructive eating patterns in a positive way. Find healthier habits to replace the bad ones and be kind to yourself. It’s the only way to reconnect with your body and the energy in these parts of your life.

Muhammed Ali once said “It’s the repetition of affirmations that lead to beliefs. And once that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.” This is an incredibly powerful statement that can be applied to many different aspects of life, including weight loss and breaking bad habits. If you want to become healthier and lose weight, you must start by believing that you can do it and repeating positive affirmations to yourself.

For many people, weight loss is a difficult journey. It can involve a lot of hard work, dedication and discipline. A great way to start is by repeating positive affirmations about yourself and your journey. These affirmations can be things like “I am strong and capable”, “I can do this”, “I am in control”, or “I am worth it”. Repeating these affirmations regularly and with conviction will help you to create a deeper belief in yourself and your ability to reach your goals.

Breaking bad habits like binge eating and destructive eating is another area where Muhammed Ali’s statement can be applied. In order to break these habits, you must first believe that you are capable of creating a healthier lifestyle and that you are worth the effort. Start by repeating positive affirmations such as “I can make healthy choices”, “I will take care of my body”, and “I can control my cravings”. The more you repeat these affirmations, the more you will start to believe them and the easier it will be to break your bad habits.

If you’re trying to break a sugar addiction, you must start by believing in yourself and repeating positive affirmations like “I can choose healthier snacks”, “I can control my cravings”, and “I will make healthier choices”. As you repeat these affirmations, they will become a deep conviction and you will start to see results. It’s the repetition of affirmations that lead to beliefs and when that belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.

Have you ever been on a diet to lose weight, and then stopped and regained it all? You are not alone, this is a common problem. Diets are not permanent, because they usually involve denying yourself something you want and that is not sustainable. The problem with diets is that they don’t go back to the cause and source of the issue, and then remove it. That’s why diets don’t work in the long term.

So, if you want to create a permanent change in your weight and your health, you have to go back to the cause and source of the issue and remove it.

The key to permanent weight loss is to change your habits and your relationship with food. You can do this by understanding the emotional and psychological factors behind why you overeat or binge. You must also learn healthier ways to deal with stress, anxiety and negative emotions. This will help you break the cycle of destructive eating and finally achieve your weight goals.

If you want to make permanent changes to your weight and your health, you have to go back to the cause and source of the issue, and then remove it. Diets are not permanent, so you need to look beyond diets and focus on changing your habits and your relationship with food. That’s the only way to break the cycle of binge eating and sugar cravings, and create lasting change

Having a vision is a powerful tool to use in life. Every great leader, be it Henry Ford, John Rockefeller or Alexander the Great, all imagined what they wanted to create before they were able to bring it to life. It is this vision that has enabled them to make a huge impact on the world.

The same is true for our own lives. If we want to make changes, we need to start with a vision. For example, if we want to overcome a destructive eating habit, such as binging on sugary foods, we must first see what life could look like without this bad habit. We need to weight out the pros and cons of our current situation, and imagine an alternative. This alternative will become our vision.

Once we have a clear vision of what we want to create, we can take the necessary action to make it happen. We may have to make tough decisions, like cutting back on sugary snacks and making healthier choices. We may have to work hard and get out of our comfort zone. But if we remain focused on our vision, and take it one step at a time, we will eventually reach our goal.

Having a vision is an essential part of turning our dreams into a reality. It helps us to stay on track and maintain motivation. Without a vision, it is easier to get sidetracked and give up. So, if you want to make a change in your life, start with a vision. Think of the possibilities, and make a plan on how you are going to get there. With a clear vision, anything is possible.

Do you ever feel bad about what you’re seeing or maybe just try not to think about it at all? We all want to maintain a healthy weight and have a healthy relationship with food, but sometimes it can be hard to break the cycle of destructive eating habits, like binging on sugary snacks or having a bad habit of eating too much.

When we don't take the time to really be mindful of our food choices and our eating habits, we can easily become disconnected from our bodies and the energy in these parts can get stuck. When this happens, it can be difficult to make positive changes to our diet and lifestyle; the weight can start to creep up and we can feel powerless to stop it.

The good news is that it’s possible to break free from destructive eating habits and take back control of your diet. The first step is to become mindful of your eating habits and be honest with yourself about what you’re putting into your body. Don’t be afraid to be critical of yourself; be aware of the foods that make you feel good, and those that make you feel bad.

Once you’ve identified the sources of your unhealthy eating habits, it’s time to start making changes. Start by replacing unhealthy foods with healthier alternatives; choose whole grains instead of white flour, cut down on sugar and start eating more fruits and vegetables.

It can also help to find a healthy activity that you enjoy, like walking or cycling, to help you stay active and burn off any excess calories. It doesn’t have to be a huge commitment; even a 30-minute walk a few times a week can make a big difference.

Finally, it’s important to be kind to yourself and not be too hard on yourself if you slip up. It’s not easy to break bad habits, but with patience and dedication it is possible. So, don’t feel bad about what you’re seeing or try to ignore it; instead, take small steps to make positive changes in your life.

For those of us struggling with weight, destructive eating, and bad habits like binge eating and sugar cravings, the field of therapy can be an invaluable tool. Two of the most important phrases in therapy, according to renowned psychiatrist and trauma expert Bessel A. van der Kolk, are “Notice that” and “What happens next?” These two phrases can make all the difference in helping us to break free from our destructive patterns of behavior.

When we approach our bodies with “Notice that”, we are able to become aware of our emotions and physical sensations in a non-judgemental way. This allows us to observe our own physical and emotional responses to food and other stimuli without the fear of criticism or judgement. We can begin to notice how certain foods make us feel, and how our emotional states affect our cravings and behaviors.

Once we have noticed our feelings and physical sensations, we can explore our patterns of behavior further with the phrase “What happens next?” This allows us to look at our actions and reactions in a more objective way. We can become aware of our triggers for unhealthy behaviors and start to develop healthier responses to them. We can also begin to explore the underlying emotional issues that may be driving our destructive eating habits and learn how to deal with them in a healthier way.

By approaching our bodies and behaviors with curiosity rather than fear, we can begin to make the changes we need to lead healthier and happier lives. The two phrases “Notice that” and “What happens next?” can be invaluable tools in helping us break free from destructive patterns of eating and begin to take positive steps towards a healthier future.

These two simple phrases may have the power to completely transform your life. That’s what Bessel A. van der Kolk says and it’s certainly true. When we start to notice what’s happening in our body, when we start to approach it with curiosity rather than fear, it can lead to big changes. This is especially true when it comes to our relationship with food. Whether it’s trying to lose weight, break out of a destructive eating cycle, or break the bad habit of having too much sugar, it all starts with noticing and having an open mind.

The first phrase, “notice that,” encourages us to pay attention to our bodies and to the signals it’s sending us. This can include physical sensations like hunger, fullness, or cravings, as well as emotional responses like boredom, anger, or anxiety. Becoming aware of these signals can help us make better decisions about what to eat. Instead of mindlessly reaching for a cookie when we’re bored, we can pause, notice the feeling, and make a more conscious choice.

The second phrase, “what happens next?” encourages us to take action and to explore how different choices can lead to different outcomes. This can be an especially helpful tool when it comes to breaking out of destructive eating patterns, like binging. Instead of automatically reaching for the chips, we can pause and consider what other choices we can make. We can ask ourselves, “What will happen if I don’t eat this? What will happen if I do?” This can help us break out of our destructive patterns and find healthier alternatives.

These two simple phrases can be incredibly powerful when it comes to changing our relationship with food. Once we start to notice our bodies and explore alternative choices, we can start to shift our diet in a healthier direction. It all starts with being curious, rather than fearful, and with asking ourselves “what happens next?”
