Exciting research is underway to learn more about Parkinson's disease dementia through a unique collaboration between the New Zealand Brain Research Institute (NZBRI) and Pacific Radiology. 🧠🔬
The focus of the study is on the role of Tau protein in Parkinson's disease dementia and utilising Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging techniques at Pacific Radiology's clinic to study patients "in vivo."
The study should offer valuable insights into Parkinson's disease dementia and pave the way for better management and care.

This past weekend marked another successful GP CME conference event held in Christchurch, New Zealand. The conference featured a number of prominent speakers from around the country, who provided valuable insights and knowledge to the attendees.

Some speaker highlights from Pacific Radiology Group doctors (left to right in photo):

Dr. Kevin Chen – specialised in body radiology - spoke on the latest use of PET CT for diagnostics.
Dr. Rachel Claridge – specialised in breast, obstetrics, and gynaecology - spoke about the importance of breast screening.
Dr. Rachael McEwing – specialised in obstetrics and gynaecology – together with Dr. Ben Sharp, Gynaecologist, provided a thought-provoking update on gynae imaging and clinical updates.
Dr. Ross Keenan – specialised in cardiac and neuro radiology – gave a fascinating talk on cardiac and neuro imaging
Dr. Mark Coates (not in photo) – specialised in MSK radiology - spoke about MSK intervention techniques.

Last weekend we hosted the Radiologist Conference down in Christchurch. This was a great internal networking event for our doctors from across the country to get together and socialise, while getting some important company news and research updates from our speakers.
