Hi friends, I used to believe smoking was my lifeline—helping me cope, calm down, and get through the hard stuff. I couldn't have been more wrong. In reality, ni****ne was quietly rewiring my brain, making me more anxious, not less. The "calm" I felt was just relief from withdrawal—the storm it had created in the first place.

Hey guys, I smoked on autopilot for 17 years—until my little girl turned her head away from my goodnight kiss and said, 'Yukky Mummy, you stink!' 💔

That memory sticks with me far more than any so-called ‘enjoyable times’ I spent smoking—burning up our small income and my health.

It wasn't the end of my smoking but it was the end of being on autopilot.

That was the moment I began to look at smoking differently. In 2000, I developed Focused Smoking, a technique I’ve since used with my clients to help them break free from ni****ne.

As someone with asthma, I thought quitting smoking would be easy once I decided I was ready. I was wrong. It wasn’t until my umpteenth quit attempt—desperate, exhausted—that I finally saw how deep ni****ne’s grip really was. Addiction isn’t just a habit. It’s a trap, and I know what it feels like to want out.

Since the early 2000s, I’ve been helping others quit and stay free. I never want anyone else to feel as stuck as I once did.
