New study in type 2 diabetes!

We seek volunteers aged >16 years that have had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes for a research trial at the University of Otago. This study increases our understanding of how do it yourself continuous glucose monitoring affects improves glucose control and diabetes related distress compared with Flash Glucose Monitoring alone. The study will take 21 weeks and involves 4 review visits (all via telehealth). We are involved in a project of translating Mediterranean Diet principles to a NZ context and this survey is part of this. If you are interested in filling out the survey, you can go in the draw to win a grocery voucher. You do need a tape measure.

Thi survey investigates how closely the diet of New Zealand adults reflects a Mediterranean-style diet depending on individual risk of metabolic disease.

The Dahlia Study - can taking a plant extract improve blood glucose in adults with Pre-Diabetes and Diabetes?

We are looking for men with pre-diabetes or diabetes (metformin only) to trial a new dahlia flower extract to see whether it can reduce blood glucose levels. It will require 3 visits to Wellington Hospital.
