SENIOR ACCOUNTANT

Part-time permanent role based in Porirua, Wellington (24 hours)

Parents Centre Aotearoa is looking for an experienced, motivated and friendly accountant to join our team providing accounting support to our national support Centre and our locations across the motu. You will be part of a team that is family-friendly, with flexible hours to enable you to give the best to your family as well as the job.

Responsibilities include:
- Invoicing and accounts receivable processing
- Oversight of accounts payable
- Month end processing and reconciliations
- Financial support and analysis for national support centre staff and projects

Experience in accounting and finance roles with accounting qualifications are an essential competency for this role.

Exciting news we have space in our upcoming Baby and You postnatal class!

This course is aimed at helping you settle into, and enjoy parenthood for those with babies from newborn to @ 3 months old.

It's a fantastic opportunity to get out and about with your newborn in the early weeks and meet and connect with other Māma’s who have recently had pēpi.

The course for 4 weeks from 10am to 12pm starting on the 25th of July, at Onslow Community Church, 4 Ngatoto St, Ngaio.

Topics include:
 Birth & feeding experiences
 Sleep and settling
 Changes and relationships
 Development and milestones
 When to call the doctor
 Baby massage

Doing good for others is really good for you—June is ‘volunteering month’

Have you ever reached out to others when you know they might be going through a hard time, cooked dinner for a neighbour, taken someone else’s children to sport for them or given some time to a voluntary organisation? Did you know that acts of generosity have lasting physical benefits? Studies show people who volunteer regularly have healthier hearts, less ongoing pain, and bolstered immune systems.

First Aid Course!
This course is held over 2x Mondays from 7 to 9pm and aims to give you the basic CPR and health knowledge to care for your child.

It will teach you how to save a baby's or a child's life with CPR. The Child Health part of the course covers common illnesses for 0-5 years, first aid kit contents, and the basic first aid knowledge. This class is taught by a GP and an intensive care paramedic.

Bring your baby - we have a change table available, plus there will be someone to cuddle your baby if you need a break. Cost: $30 per person, $50 for a family ( this is you plus a support person - your partner, your mum, or anyone else you'd like to bring)
