According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), loneliness and social isolation are also linked to an increased risk of stroke, heart disease, diabetes, cognitive decline and other health issues. Conversely, social connection is known to protect and enhance our quality of life by reducing inflammation, anxiety and depression, fostering stronger mental health & strengthening the social fabric. Social connection makes communities healthier, safer and more resilient.
