Jumbo Tennis Tournament

Jumbo Tennis Tournament Jumbo Tennis is a fun, quick fire, team event played with oversized racquets at the Renouf Tennis Centre in Wellington. Since then, it has been an annual event.

This year's proceeds will go to Wellington Children's Hospital and Junior Tennis Wellington. The first Rotary Club of Wellington (RCW) Jumbo Tennis Tournament was held in Wellington in March 2009. Each year the number of teams entering have increased. Many organisations enter a team every year. This has lead to RCW developing an instruction manual and selling licences for other Rotary Clubs so they can also take advantage of a fun, fast paced way to raise funds for charitable purposes

Thank you to all those who sponsored, supported, contributed, and participated in this year's Bayleys Real Estate Jumbo Tennis Tournament.
As a result, Rotary Club of Wellington (RCW) will be donating over $24,000 to the Wellington Hospital Foundation’s Children Hospital, a Wellington Youth Mental Wellbeing programme, a smaller donation to Junior Tennis Wellington and a significant donation to Rotary’s Lifting the Lid, providing mental health support for adolescent mental health in Greater Wellington secondary and intermediate schools.
All in all, it was a great day, with the weather gods lending a hand.

This programme gives access to mental health counsellors for college students in the Wellington area within hours of the school raising the flag. All intermediate and secondary schools in Wellington are signed up as are all 7 Rotary Clubs in Wellington.
A book of 6 tickets is only $50 (1 ticket free).
