I’m proud to share that I’ve just completed something meaningful—10 months of dedicated yoga study and practice
Movement with Meaning
Yoga is more than movement—it’s a therapeutic system for self-regulation, healing, and reconnection.
In March 2025, I completed New Zealand’s first-ever Diploma in Yoga Teaching through the New Zealand Institute of Health & Fitness. As part of the inaugural cohort, I was trained in the full breadth of yoga—asana, breathwork, meditation, philosophy, anatomy, teaching methodology, and ethics. This Yoga Alliance-accredited diploma is helping raise the standard of safe, student-centred yoga education in Aotearoa.
As an experienced acupuncturist, I bring a clinical understanding of the nervous system into my yoga teaching. My work is rooted in therapeutic, trauma-aware yoga, and I’m currently deepening this with further training in Yin and Restorative Yoga—styles that support stillness, subtle energy, and deep rest.
What I offer includes:
Therapeutic yoga for hormonal balance, pain, and nervous system support
Breathwork and pranayama to calm or energise as needed
Yoga Nidra and guided meditation to promote rest and repair
One-on-one and small group sessions tailored to your individual needs
ACC-funded yoga will be available soon (registration in progress).
This is not performance-based yoga.
This is presence-based movement—gentle, informed, and deeply nourishing.
