Happy Chinese New Year 🧧✨ the year of the 🔥🐎!

These two photos say a lot. One makes me laugh, it says “I will have a lot of money immediately” - wishful Chinese New Year greeting! The other makes me smile. Me by the lake with my little one, feeling content.

🐍The year of the snake asked me to face fears, sit with guilt, and gently shed what was holding me back, so I could move forward with more clarity.

🐎As we step into the year of the horse, there is a sense of momentum and movement. It is often linked with going faster or achieving more. For me, the intention is to move forward with purpose. To inspire, empower, and support others in ways that truly align with my values, and it is not measured by how much money I make.

With all that fire horse energy, I am choosing to balance it with water. More flow. More intuition. More presence.

2025 has brought a big shift in the work I do. With the closure of my beloved yoga studio, Beyond Yoga, I was gently (and not so gently) nudged to make Breathe Move You (BMY) official. 💫

I have stepped from being a and yoga teacher into fully owning my role as a prenatal and postnatal specialist, educator, and birth . Along the way, I have also become the admin, IT support, accountant, marketing strategist, and teacher for this small business. It’s been challenging, and at times, overwhelming.

These past 12 days have been about breath, movement, choice, trust and the quiet wisdom that lives in us. And every connection, every birth story, every postpartum milestone, every transformation reminds me why I keep going. This work isn’t just my passion, it’s my privilege to support families through such a meaningful season of life.

🎄I will be stepping back from social media for a month, though I will pop into stories from time to time to say hi. For now, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a gentle, grounded start to #2026.

The pelvic floor responds best to safety, breath, and connection, not effort.

With the jellyfish visualization, the moves together with the diaphragm (your umbrella muscle): soft, responsive, expanding and recoiling with the rhythm of the breath.

No gripping.
No forcing.

This is a real moment from class: holding a baby, guiding breath, learning together. 💓

We practice dying again and again in this lifetime. 💫

Some people say giving birth lives somewhere between death and life.
A threshold. A crossing. A place where something ends, and something new begins. In that way, giving birth can be a chance for us to be reborn, to transform.

Earlier this year, I lost a close friend.
Holding this idea of transformation has helped me believe that nothing truly disappears, it simply changes form, maybe moves into another world, another way of being.

This is a raw moment from one of my classes this year. No polish. No perfection. Just how I teach, and how we learn together. 💓

If you have lost someone this year, this is for you. A gentle reminder that endings and beginnings often live side by side. 🩷

Most people have never heard of the . Yet, it plays a huge role in posture, stress, and early labour.

🤓The psoas is a deep muscle that connects the spine to the legs and responds strongly to tension and fear. When it’s tight, the body can struggle to soften. When it releases, the pelvis and nervous system can respond with more ease.

This is a raw moment from my classes this year. No polish. Just how I teach and how we learn together. 💓
