💗 Sweet treats for a great cause 💗 Summerset down the Lane hosted a Pink Ribbon fundraising event in support of the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ. With the help of generous residents and staff, the event featured a delicious spread of home-baked goodies and raised an amazing $545 for the Breast Cancer Foundation. 🏌️‍♂️Residents from both Summerset in the Sun and Summerset Richmond Ranges had a fantastic morning on the green, enjoying a fun-filled golf event planned with the help of residents Graham and Val Wilson, proud members of the golf club. 🏌️‍♂️ From learning how to drive, putt and chip to taking on exciting challenges, everyone got involved with big smiles and plenty of laughter under the glistening sun. Spot prizes were proudly won by Trish, Lian and Dianne, and a special thank you goes to Nelson Golf Club for generously sponsoring vouchers and golfing gear for the day. After such a wonderful response, it is safe to say this popular event will be back again next summer! 😎⛳

👨‍🍳 Brett McGregor brings MasterChef magic to Summerset Boulcott!

As part of our Summerset Sessions programme, the Summerset Boulcott team was proud to host a live Cooking with a MasterChef event with Brett McGregor.

Filmed in the village centre, residents enjoyed an engaging cooking demonstration showcasing simple, flavour-packed one pot and pan recipes. Guests from five neighbouring Summerset villages travelled in to be part of the experience, coming together for an afternoon of food, learning and connection. 🍽️👨‍🍳

👩‍⚕️ Summerset in the Sun village in Nelson recently marked International Nurses Day with a lovely afternoon tea celebrating the village’s incredible former nurses. 🥰

Residents came together to share stories from their nursing years, with some even discovering they had worked alongside each other in the same hospitals. The room was filled with smiles, laughter, and plenty of nostalgia as memories were shared.

It was a wonderful way to honour their years of care and dedication, and such a fun afternoon that many residents are already asking for it to happen again!

💕 Summerset by the Lake turned Mother’s Day into something truly special with a fabulous Pink Ribbon brunch. Guests were welcomed with a glass of bubbles on arrival before enjoying beautiful food prepared by Taupō Head Chef Hine and the kitchen team, while a talented local performer kept the lovely ladies entertained. Best of all, the event raised an amazing $1,460 for the Breast Cancer Foundation NZ - a wonderful result for a very worthy cause. 💕

🩷 Summerset turns pink for Pink Shirt Day! 🩷

At Summerset on the Coast - Paraparaumu, a flamingo on the lake added an extra splash of fun, while the residents and village team got behind the day with pink outfits, lollies and supportive messages.

Over at Summerset at the Course - Trentham, residents and the village team came together for a fun pink-filled group photo. 📸

Pink Shirt Day is an annual event against bullying. Wearing pink is a way to show support for kindness, inclusion and standing up to bullying.
