Summerset down the Lane care residents and staff made the decorations for their mid-winter ‘My Wedding’ party. They worked together to craft beautiful veils and cake toppers, along with wedding photo cards and bouquets for tables and had a fabulous time putting their crafting skills to use. Everyone dressed like brides and grooms. Staff applied makeup and styled residents’ hair to make them feel special. The wedding theme party was all about creating and celebrating memories. The Hamilton residents enjoyed fruit punch (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and optional wine, accompanied by cheese, cracker and fruit platters served at each table. Residents loved singing along with the entertainers while dancing with the staff. It was amazing afternoon. 👰🤵

Summerset in the Vines residents celebrated mid-winter with a 'Lunch in the Vines'. The village centre was transformed into a vineyard, where Havelock North residents enjoyed great food, company, and wine, while celebrating the name of their village in style. 🍇🍷🍾

Residents of Summerset by the Dunes enjoyed their mid-winter Casino Royale event. The party was held on July 10th to commemorate the changeover of decimal currency in New Zealand. Pāpāmoa residents had the choice of six different tables to play on, decorated with $2 chocolate coins. Everyone started the night with a thousand dollars’ worth of casino chips, and whoever had the most money at the end of the night won a prize. Everyone enjoyed bubbles, beer and juice, a delicious grazing table and a photo booth was set up to capture the fun and laughter.🎰🎲🃏

Summerset down the Lane held an amazing White Wedding Mid-Winter celebration. To accommodate 180 attendees, staff set-up two sittings, one at 11:30am and 2:30pm, with an entertainer getting residents up dancing and singing along at both events. Residents played along with the theme and organised a wedding entourage. Looks like a nice day for a white wedding, Hamilton! 👰🤵

Summerset Rototuna held a Great Gatsby mid-winter party and residents, and staff dressed to impress! Residents enjoyed a choice of beef cheek in red wine or honey mustard glazed ham with their beverages of choice. The evening flowed well with the entertainer getting residents fired up on the dance floor. Looks like a great party, Rototuna! 💃🕺

Inspired by the culinary adventures of fellow villages, Summerset at Bishopscourt residents have set off on their own culinary journey with monthly themed dinner events. The first stop for Dunedin residents was in Italy! It was a lively evening filled with music, beautifully set tables and a three-course meal paired with drinks. Next stop, India! 🇮🇹🍝

Looking like superstars, Rototuna! 🎥🎬

As part of the 2025 Summerset Sessions programme, Summerset favourite Will Martin took his beloved 'Summerset Sings' on tour to perform at four Christchurch villages. At each village, Will performed a special one-hour concert of his greatest hits, dazzled the crowd with his signature charm and stories, and of course sang the songs they all know and love. Residents and prospects of the Canterbury villages attended the concerts, followed by a meet and greet with Will. Residents had their photos taken with him and had the opportunity to purchase a signed CD. Each village hosted a lovely afternoon tea as part of the event. 🎙🤩🎶📀

Summerset Mount Denby village manager, Katrina Symonds, spread her wings and skill set, taking on an acting role in a play at Octagon Theatre in Whangārei. Usually behind the scenes making costumes, Katrina took on the role of Brenda Bishop (daughter) in a play was called ‘Joyful and Triumphant.’ Residents and staff of Mt Denby booked out the whole theatre for a dinner and show. Everyone had a fantastic time and loved watching Katrina up on the stage. As the curtains fell, the Mt Denby supporters threw flowers on stage and gave a great big cheer to Katrina and other actors for their wonderful performance. 🎭🤩👏
