Such a privilege to be able to attend the inaugural Osteopathic summit just a couple of hours south of Melbourne this weekend! 🤩
If you’ve ever seen Osteopaths when they get together, you’ll know that it is a very warm, chatty and connecting experience! 💕👍🏻

I saw colleagues I haven’t seen for 30 years and it was just like yesterday that we were at university together! 🌟

We celebrated our history, our teachers, our elders and ourselves, we celebrated osteopathy and the enormous difference it makes in so many peoples lives to reduce unnecessary suffering.🙏

Huge thank you to the organisers Natalee and Shayne, and everyone who contributed to an incredible successful event!

Now to go teach our osteopathic team, the new skills and knowledge! 😃✔️

I was invited to speak for a whole hour this morning about osteopathic medicine, including why I decided to start studying osteopathy in London 36 years ago! 😃

Then there were a big bunch of interesting questions from these very lovely students at Saint Mary’s in Thorndon, Wellington.

Questions included: ‘ is it bad to crack my knuckles?’ No and the research…
‘ is it okay to crack my neck and back?’ No and why…
‘ ‘Do you treat hunchbacks?’ We aim to prevent postural issues occurring and then we had a useful interactive lesson on posture! ✔️
What do you do to treat chronic pain in the neck, back and other joints?’ That was a long answer!
‘How do you help with women’s health issues?’ Another long answer!

Hopefully I inspired at least one or two students to get help for past injuries and/or to study to become osteopaths! 🤗💕

This time last week we were busy packing up and moving out of the old space we had been in helping thousands of people over the past 24 years! There was a wrench of sadness in having to leave all the great memories, as our lease was not being renewed.

We had much to clear out after so many years and send to team members homes ( for example the reception couch), the Tip Shop or the Tip itself, plus many special items to transport to the new practice ✔️

The Van Man teams were so helpful and moved everything beautifully in two big trucks before heading to our new premises at Level Four, 93 The Terrace 🥰🚛🚚

Then we were unpacking all day Saturday, Sunday and further setting up Monday morning before heading into a busy week of patients! 🤗

All our team and our regular patients are delighted with the new space - it’s light and airy and professional 🌟☀️
