How do Osteopaths see your body? When you come to see an Osteopath, we listen carefully and take a thorough medical history. We figure out what is going on by assessing your whole body and considering you as a unique person in the context of your life so far. Research shows that this is very important to help people recover and we find that we get great results.

In this video, Registered Osteopath Dr Melanie Young is explaining about the red and blue markings on a mini skeleton and how it is showing the origin and insertion of each muscle in the body.

She talks about why rib injuries can be particularly painful due to the blood supply, drainage and nerve supply getting closely constricted between intercostal muscle layers when you have an injury in this area.

If you’re having trouble moving fully or getting into the exercise routine that you want to be able to do or you’ve had a recent injury, come and see an Osteopath.

At City Osteopaths our osteopathic team have over 500 wonderful Google reviews with a 4.9 out of 5 average rating! Our patients are really happy with our work and the results we achieve to help them live a more enjoyable life. We love helping people out of pain and back to Health.

Representing City Osteopaths today: Registered Osteopaths Dr Melanie Young, Sebastian Tucker and Venla Karki 🤗👍🏻

Melanie saw a number of young babies this morning at the Osteopathic Children Foundation, they had issues with their birth, feeding, neck turning, burping, and latching 👶

We have parental permission to share this cute photo of a baby being treated by Venla in a ‘double hander’ - osteopaths working together to help the health of children who normally wouldn’t be able to access our care due to no government funding 😔

So many of the struggles new babies and parents experience can be alleviated gently, safely and quickly with Osteopathic hands-on treatment approaches such as Osteopathy in the cranial field, balanced membrane tension and biodynamic osteopathy.🥰

A number of the parents today expressed the wish that Osteopathic assessment and treatment of babies was part of the Well Child check in New Zealand. We couldn’t agree more! ✅
