Our Story
Seleno Health is a small family run business led by Dr Corin Storkey and Sally Huapaya, based between New Zealand and Peru. New Zealand born founder and co-director – Corin has over 15 years of academic and research experience, specialising in chronic stress, oxidative diseases and natural health management. He holds a PhD in medicinal chemistry from the University of Melbourne and the Heart Research Institute – Sydney, Australia. His own personal health experience overcoming chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) led him to establish Seleno Health to help improve outcomes for people struggling with their own health problems.
Co-director Sally is a native Peruvian, with a degree in industrial engineering and great knowledge of traditional medicine. Her family originate from the maca growing region of Junin and she has a passion to share her history, culture and experience with natural health.
Both Corin and Sally have been touched by maca in their lives; therapeutically, culturally and spiritually and they want to share the true story of maca with the world. In Peru, they ethically source authentic organic maca direct from farm to table and are working to develop their community through the production of economically, environmentally and socially sustainable products.
