Fat cats need to eat less? Not exactly. 🙀
What really happens when you put a fat cat on a crash diet?

They stop eating
Their body sends fat to the liver
The liver can’t process it fast enough
The fat builds up
The liver starts to fail

Cats don’t tolerate starvation the way humans do. Especially overweight cats.
fasting can cause hepatic lipidosis, which is painful, dangerous, and often fatal.
instead, work with your vet. Go slow. Nourish, don’t restrict.
