Do you have a special interest in environmental sustainability, particularly in health? The NZSA Environmental and Sustainability Network (ESN) is seeking EOI to join them.

This is an opportunity to connect with a supportive network of like-minded colleagues from across the motu, to help inform the NZSA’s work in this area, and keep up to date with local and national anaesthesia-led initiatives.
What’s involved:
- The network meets virtually approximately 4x a year
- All network members are connected via an online project group for ongoing conversation between meetings.

If you would like to know more or are interested, please get in touch at nzsa@anaesthesia.nz.
You must be an NZSA member.

NZSA President Dr Morgan Edwards reflects on her powerful experience working alongside the inspiring local team during the Pacific Society of Anaesthetists Meeting in her latest blog. Despite stark healthcare inequities, the innovation and resilience of our Pacific colleagues shine through. Read more: https://anaesthesia.nz/presidents-blog/blogaug25/

A huge barrier to anaesthesia development in the Pacific is the cost of the four-year anaesthesia training programme. The NZSA's PACT programme aims to help by providing long-term funding to support more Pacific trainees through their Diploma and Masters at Fiji National University. PACT has set a goal to gain 20 more new donors by the end of the year, and we encourage our community to consider joining them. Want to know more? https://anaesthesia.nz/news/pact20/

NZSA President, Dr Morgan Ewards, reflects on the similar challenges the anaesthesia workforce face both in Aotearoa and Tonga.
