Taking a break from an afternoon of admin in the office with a quick headstand flow.
Have you moved today?

Playing with a tough co-ordination drill to round out a good week of training and moving.
Also, a playful way to end our short social media hiatus over the last couple of weeks 😉
Give this one a go and tag us in your efforts!

Here at MOD we’ve been in a somber mood as we reflect on what happened to this country, and particularly our Muslim community, last week.

It’s been a tough time for many as the heartache and loss of those who lost their lives continues to echo through these coming days.

We want to encourage our MOD community to donate to the victims either generally, or in particular to Atta Elayyan, who is pictured in the photos and was a friend of Stephen's. Both links are below. Anything will be greatly appreciated.

A little bit of midweek hip fine tuning. Greasing the groove with some internal rotations from the half-frog base position.
Shoutout to MoveHow for the inspiration. 🔥
Can you ?

Flow is a chance to test the control and strength from our work
This sequence uses the shoulder controlled articular rotation (CAR) as well as active external hip rotation to challenge the side body in a dynamic side plank

Our focus at our classes this term has been on safe loading patterns through the upper body, targeting the correct engagement, and motion of the shoulder and scapula.
When training the upper body, it is important not to ignore the wrist as a prerequisite to successful pushing or pulling motions and hand balancing positions.
This little wrist ‘prep’ sequence is one of our favourite routines to share with clients and at our classes.
5 minutes condensed into under 60 seconds. Give it a try!

Midweek wisdom courtesy of and the team.
The process of acquiring a new skill is one that requires an understanding of your own body and it’s limitations, then the patience to address these limitations.
Train your prerequisites, acquire a new skill.

Strength session on the parallettes
So many aspects to this movement that I find challenging. The inner range of hip flexion and lumbar control, the subtle scapular and shoulder range of movement and strength and the whole time working to keep the movement controlled
We break down movements like this at our 6.00pm movement classes. We love working on regressions towards skilled movements that challenge strength and control of our bodies
