Moving Meditation Yoga Nurture your body, mind and soul. Moving Meditation Yoga and Health is the professional vehicle of Yogi and Health Coach Salena Govind. NAMASTE.

I help individuals learn how to nourish their body through food, movement and mindfulness, reduce stress, regain energy, get out of pain and feel freedom to live each day to the fullest. Salena has been practising and teaching Hatha Yoga in Wellington, New Zealand since 2007. Experienced in teaching beginner, intermediate and pregnancy classes, as well as offering sessions for corporate and private groups. Public classes offered in Johnsonville, Wellington are suitable to a variety of abilities and levels. Attend at a casual rate or concessions are available. Salena also offers 1-on-1 movement/yoga therapy to re-educate, strengthen, increase muscular flexibility and joint mobility/stability. No impact means this is perfect for rehabilitating bodies.
1-on-1 sessions are also a great opportunity to target over used areas affected from daily activities or other problem areas.

🧘‍♀️ When I first started my yoga training back in 2006, we were taken through a series of meditation practices. The one I found the most challenging, I actually went to learn and practice on a 10-day silent retreat.


It was very challenging, scary and I was taken on a inward journey over the retreat that I had never experienced before. 🤯
I came out the other end with a new found love and understanding of the benefits of having a meditation practice.

Meditation has weaved it’s way in and out of my life ever since. I have struggled with the idea that I had to be meditating for an hour to two hours per day to be doing it ‘properly’, but have discovered over the years it’s daily practice where the benefits come…even if it’s just 5-minutes. I aim for 20-minutes in the morning as part of my morning routine - some days I have the pleasure of an evening meditation too. I find dedicating a space and time everyday to connect with myself, my thoughts and the things around me make my day run a lot smoother. 🙏
