Thinking of running for the PGY1 rep position on the DiTC?

Hear from the current PGY1 rep, Anastasia Shoebridge

"Hey everyone!
I’m Anastasia the current PGY1 rep on the NZMA Doctors in Training Council. The best part of this role for me has been working with a diverse groups of individuals who are passionate and motivated in taking on the issues facing junior doctors. It has allowed me to appreciate a different side to medical practice that is not always highlighted. Sitting on the council means you have the opportunity have a close working relationship with some of the leaders of our medical community and get to be a part of the NZMA leadership team. This position allows you to gain a deeper understanding of what it means to practice medicine in New Zealand and I have loved the opportunity to make a difference and be the voice for my PGY1 cohort. The DiTC are a wonderful group and I have enjoyed working with every single one of them. If you are even considering applying I cannot recommend it enough as it will be one of the best decisions you ever make.

Thanks,

Anastasia"
