February update from Disability Support Services around the changes to assessment, allocation and flexible funding

This update is about delivering the first stage of the changes announced in September - and what it means for disabled people, families, whānau and carers.

Some useful information: People for Us is a peer visiting service who visits disabled adults and tāngata whaikaha Māori who live in homes funded by Disability Support Services.

Our role is to hear people’s voices and make sure people are safe and are provided high quality support and services. We work alongside disabled people, families, and services to support positive change and better outcomes.
