Dahlia in Clay + Poet Ceramic Candle

This summer our ceramic collaboration is with Taupo-based artist Isabelle of

We’ve long admired Isabelle’s delicate, organic style and these elegant tumblers pair beautifully with our Summer blend of magnolia leaf and bergamot.

As always these vessels are intended to be re-used as a drinking vessel. The large vessels could be re-used for Summer drinks or tea and the smaller vessels are so beautiful for a morning espresso or maybe a Summer affogato.

This year’s Christmas blend smells like spice and all things nice with essential oil of warm cinnamon bark, clove bud, orange and smooth vanilla. Designed to evoke joy and inspire festive traditions. Highly sniffable with deliberate notes of Christmas cake.

Pan de Mu**to Candle – Poet Botanicals x Luisa Farah

Thanks again to everyone who attended our candle-making workshop and supported Luisa’s altar offering in celebration of Dia de Mu**tos. It was lovely to share this beautiful celebration with you.

Luisa and I worked together to create a special candle for the occasion, and as part of her Petal collection.

A celebration of tradition and scent, the Pan de Mu**to candle is inspired by the iconic sweet bread of Dia de Mu**tos, baked to honor and remember loved ones. Warm spices and citrus notes evoke the comforting aroma of this ceremonial bread, bringing a moment of presence and ritual into your space.

Introducing the Petal Collection, a special edition for Dia de Mu**tos by Wellington based jeweller
A delicate pendant inspired by traditional flowers.

Come along and see this beautiful creation in person during our Dia de Mu**tos event tomorrow - Saturday 1 November from 5.30pm at

Luisa and I worked together to design a candle scent that imbibes the traditions of Dia de Mu**tos. Warm cinnamon bark and cardamon, and bright citrus notes are reminiscent of Pan de Mu**to - a pan dulce traditionally baked in Mexico during the weeks leading up to Dia de Mu**tos.

Our therapeutic essential oil blends have been carefully designed to support your mind, body and spirit, while promoting a sense of wellbeing. Bergamot essential oil is one of our favourites and for good reason. Extracted from the rind of the bergamot orange, is renowned for its uplifting and calming properties. Its fresh, citrusy aroma can bring a brightness to your mood, allowing for a more grounded and balanced outlook. Join Melanie and Luisa for a sensory celebration that honours the spirit of Día de Mu**tos - a time to remember, reconnect, and celebrate the lives of those who have passed. You’ll be guided through the mindful art of scent design and natural candle-making, blending intention with aroma to create your own candle, imbibed with your own signature scent. You’re also invited to attend Luisa’s exhibition after the workshop.

SCENT & CACAO DAY RETREAT
Our first ritualUNION event is happening on Sunday 9 November at one of our favourite places - Mangaroa Farms in Whitemans Valley (Just 40 minutes from Wellington’s CBD). This will be a truly beautiful day with a good mix of relaxation, nature and some self-care practices. We’ll be based at Woodcote within Mangaroa Farms - the cosiest location!
Rosenda from CultivateYou will share her knowledge and passion for cacao - there is so much to learn! We’ll also have a beautiful scent session where you discover the beauty of essential oils and learn how to make a clean-burning aromatherapy candle.
Lunch and refreshments included.

Poet was founded with the intention of creating beautifully designed products without the use of harmful fragrance.

Our best-selling aromatherapy candles are where it all started with our founder, Melanie Morris creating candles in her kitchen, using a small collection of her favourite essential oils.

Poet candles are hand-poured using clean-burning coconut wax, which is a sustainable product due to its high crop yield - coconut trees grow fast! Coconut wax contains no artificial ingredients - it’s just coconut - and it provides a beautiful slow burn, meaning you’ll get a long burn-time from your candle.
