Our clean-burning aromatherapy candles are where Poet started and we continue to produce consciously designed products without potentially harmful fragrance including natural aroma mists and essential oil blends.
What makes Poet candles clean-burning?
We use high-quality, therapeutic-grade essential oils for their beautiful natural aroma and wellbeing benefits.
Each Poet scent has been created by founder Melanie Morris, to support aspects of your wellbeing - whether it be to relieve feelings of stress and overwhelm, to promote joy and happiness or support vitality and focus.
Our candles are made with sustainably produced and clean-burning coconut wax which gives a beautiful, luscious slow burn for maximum burn-time.
How is coconut wax sustainable?
Coconuts are considered a sustainable crop due to the high yield and crop renewal per acre. Our pure coconut candle wax is non GMO and has no pesticides.
How is coconut wax clean-burning?
Coconut wax is just coconut flesh that has been hydrogenated - there’s nothing added to this process and you certainly won’t find paraffin or other petroleum based stabilisers present. Coconut wax emits zero soot particles, as the wax is petro-carbon soot free and doesn’t add toxic carcinogens (that can be present in waxes), into the air you breathe.
We also use cotton, lead-free wicks and recyclable or reusable packaging.
Our candles and aroma mists are refillable and we offer a nation-wide refillery service from our Wellington based studio.
