provides this week with Ornette from their FOLD collection. FOLD works the folding of materials to highlight relief and textures. Ornette is timeless classicism where it is simple without being simplistic. The stainless steel and acetate combination make it a very light frame.

FRAME OF THE WEEK!

The mornings and evenings may be chilly still but I'm enjoying the short sleeves wear during the days. As such it has inspired this week's frame.
Kaiser from their metal collection has top spot this week. It's bold hexagon shape and combination metal / acetate temple design is a refined touch. A classic and lighter look for this summer.

I know - hate speech at its most frustrating.
This is just a reminder that if you are after contact lenses, new glasses or prescription sunglasses, the time is now to start getting your ducks in a row.

Typically, it takes us 2 weeks to get glasses ready, and some contact lenses can take up to 5 weeks to come in.

It's that time of year folks!
Jim, Janeen and Rachael are off to their Nerd Conference to talk all things spectacle lenses, have petty fights about who is wearing what frame better, and cause mayhem on the dance floor.

Woodward Optical's doors will be closed Friday 17th and Saturday 18th.

FRAME OF THE WEEK!

Last week we had a large (mainly) metal frame, so on balance we are showing a smaller fit acetate frame this week. AHLEM's Paradis in Classic Turtle is elegant, light and distinctive with fine bevel detailing which underscores the contrast between the matte and polished finishes.

JF Rey's JF3088 is in the hot seat this week. It is a combination of stainless-steel structure and acetate inserts to secure the lenses. This week we're hitting LA Eyeworks. Fairfax is a beautiful smaller fit frame that has compact shaping and big personality. The iridescent green and blue finishing is so alluring that it reminds me of a Tui. However, the name of the colour is Scarab.

So.... I hit up the AI with Tui vs Scarab. Because - it is fun to do so. I have included the two best designs. The first I have no words for.
