This morning we met Sue, a universal blood donor (O-) from Palmerston North who has helped up to 81 people so far with her amazing blood donations ♥️

Book your appointment now online or via the nz blood donor app. Remember to eat at least 4 hours prior to donating, drink 2-3 litres of water in the 24 hours before you donate and bring photo ID. Jedi mastery not required.

The casualties of WWI and II lead to major breakthroughs in blood transfusion science.

Innovations included the regular use of citrate, finding ways to transport blood products, and even the creation of blood banks and blood drives.

Two of the deadliest conflicts in history also pioneered lifesaving medicine that has helped save millions of lives.

We’ve had an amazing weekend at the in Wellington chatting with current and future donors 💉🩸

We first met Leanne earlier this year at a market in Masterton - and loved her donor origin story immediately.

Being a lifesaver and donating blood really does make you the best gift-giver ♥️

Leanne’s dad sadly passed away 4 years ago, but she still donates to honour his memory - and well, because she’s a good bitch 😎
