🎄Unichem's Christmas hours are as follows.🎄

Unichem Karori Mall- Closed on 25th, 26th Dec and 1st, 2nd Jan- otherwise open normal hours (M-F 9am-6pm, Sat 9am-2pm, Sun-Closed)

Unichem Marsden Village
Closed from 25th Dec till the 12th Jan- re-opening normal hours from the 13th Jan of 9am-5:30pm M-F, closed weekends.

To accommodate for last minute pick up of medications, Unichem Marsden Village will be open this coming Saturday (21st Dec 9am-1pm) as a one off, so come say hi to Carmen before the usual close down period for Unichem Marsden.
This annual close down period has been communicated instore since end of October and is the 4th year running to allow Carmen, Sharyn, Paula and the extended support staff from the mall all to have time off, staggered over the festive season.

We would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New year, enjoy the festive season with friends and family!
We appreciate all the support the local community have given both pharmacies this year and look forward to reconnecting again in 2025.

Changes are coming!

As some of you may already be aware the pharmacy this weeks resembles a construction site! We apologize for the disruption caused this week but we promise next week it will be all worth it!

We can still help with all your shopping and health needs this week, our retail staff will be able to grab what you want from the store room whilst we move things around instore. We also have extra staff on in the dispensary to help locate prescriptions!

Come check us out late next week for what we hope a newer and more streamlined experience instore- all will be revealed next week!

For now enjoy the photos the night our renovations started!

Unichem Karori mall will be closed on Friday, Sunday and Monday.

We are open 9-2pm on Saturday we won't be doing the flu shot early for anyone that day.

Unichem Marsden will be closed from Friday and back open on the 2nd of April.

Both stores will start providing flu vaccines from the 2nd of April.
Best way to get a booking slot at either store is on bookmyvaccine online.

Walk ins are possible but expect to wait up to 30minutes before you can be seen if you don't have a booking as we try and to put you in between appointments. We also don't start vaccinations till 9.45am at the mall and 10am at marsden so please don't wait outside the store first thing in the morning.

We only vaccinate from 12yrs old and above only.

Both Unichem's in Karori will be closed on Monday as it is Wellington anniversary day.

Unichem Karori Mall is closed on Christmas day, boxing day, New years day and 2nd Jan. Standard hours (9-6) in between (closed Sundays).

Unichem Marsden will be closed at 5:30pm today and reopen on the 8th Jan Monday at 9am. This has been communicated instore and on health point since 1st Oct.
Please note any uncollected prescription from marsden the mall will not be able to go and collect on your behalf. Please organize a new prescription and get it sent to the mall.

We are operating on skeleton staffing over the next 3 weeks so staff can have time off with their family and friends. There may be an extra wait time for our usual services as a result please plan accordingly.

We will be open tomorrow at 9am.

Please expect delays to your prescriptions, we had computers break due to flooding via our dispensary ceiling so we have reduced software capacity to process prescriptions.

There is still a lot of water which is being dried out around the inside of the pharmacy with large industrial fans, this will be going all day tomorrow so might be noisy instore.

We will not be able to do covid boosters/vaccinations tomorrow (13th Dec, Wednesday), there is water damage to our consultation room.

Unichem Marsden can vaccinate if it is urgent. Otherwise come see us on Thursday. Keep in mind their is only one pharmacist over there so let's not overwhelm them if it's not urgent.

We should be back to fully operational on Thursday 14th December.

Due to flash flooding at the mall the pharmacy is flooded and closed.

Unichem Marsden Village has access to prescription emailed by the doctor for urgent prescription.

We will update our status for tomorrow tonight once we are able to asses the damage due to the pharmacy flooding.

Changes in our opening hours.

We will be closing at 2pm on Saturdays at Unichem Karori Mall due to the ongoing shortages of pharmacist in our network of stores from tomorrow and the month of March. Unichem Marsden will remain closed on Saturdays ongoing.

We will be reviewing if we can open back up to 4pm in April in time for the bivalent boosters + flu shots provided we get more staff.

This is to ensure my team do not burn out as many are working 6 day weeks every 2nd week.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your ongoing support and understanding.

Hello Karori!

Attached are our Christmas & New Year hours for both Unichem's in Karori.

Unichem Karori Mall will have slightly reduced hours and are closed on all public holidays and observed days. Please take note that on new years eve (31st Dec) we are closing at 2pm.

Unichem Marsden Village will be closed from the 25th Dec-3rd January. Reopen on the 4th January with slightly reduced hours also.
They are closed on all Saturdays starting from the 31st December 22 till the 11th Feb 2023 due to pharmacist shortages.

Thank you all for your support and patience with us this year while we navigate another challenging year with COVID in the community.

Just a few milestones for us as a group of pharmacies in Karori:

We have done over 3000 Covid vaccinations/boosters for adults and kids since Feb 2022.

Over 4000 influenza vaccinations.

Over 2000 free deliveries for Covid positive patients in our community for their prescription items when isolating at home.

Prescribed, dispensed and delivered over 400 COVID antivirals in the last 6 months for Covid positive patients.

Issued out over 2000 Covid pass & documentations for local and international use to our community.

We would also like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and relaxing New Years.

Unichem Karori Mall and Unichem Marsden Village will be closed on Monday 26th September to mark Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Day.

We will be open our usual hours tomorrow on Saturday 9-4 at Karori Mall and 9-1 at Marsden. :)

COVID-19 Booster update & Flu shot updates

SECOND COVID-19 BOOSTER AVAILABLE NOW
No bookings needed. Walk-ins welcome :D

Who is Eligible?

✅ Anyone over 50y

✅ Healthcare, Aged Care & Disability workers (aged 30 +)

✅ Severely immune Compromised people who have already received THREE primary doses and ONE Booster

✅ People over 16 with certain medical conditions

✅Residents of care facilities

Please Note: Second booster must be at least SIX months after completion of first booster. Under no circumstance can we do it even a day earlier as the online system we use to input your data will block us from doing so.

The criteria above is set by the Ministry of Health not the pharmacy, if you do not meet the criteria above the only way to get a 2nd booster is to get it prescribed by a doctor. As it is an "off label" use it will be at the discretion of your doctor to determine if it is suitable for you.

From the 1st July (this Friday) kids aged 3-12 years are eligible for a funded (free) flu vaccinations, our pharmacist vaccinators are trained and able to provide this service. No bookings needed also.
