GENTLE YOGA, suits older adults or those who like to take yoga at a relaxed pace and is also good for injury rehabilitation.
If you seek strength, flexibility, balance in a welcoming fun setting with like minded people then come and give it a go. These sessions are for everyone and no yoga experience or knowledge is required. Classes include chair based yoga, standing to the chair for balance and lying on the mat for somatic movement and gentle stretching/strengthening.
Yoga brings so many benefits including; an increase of muscle strength and mass, increased bone density, better cardiovascular health and breath awareness, greater flexibility, all while promoting mindfulness and relaxation. I have a number of spaces in the Monday 11am class as have a new venue with ample airy space at the Karori Baptist Church
