Meet Mandi! ✨

We are super excited to introduce the wonderful Mandi, our newest teacher to join the Thrive whānau! Mandi will be teaching our midday classes every Tuesday and Wednesday, starting with her first class this Tuesday 7 October -make sure to book in through Mindbody.

Mandi found Pilates after having her third pēpē (baby), and it helped her rebuild strength from the inside out. With over 16 years as a personal trainer, Mandi uses a holistic approach. This means she doesn’t just focus on your muscles! She connects movement to Te Whare Tapa Whā - supporting your tinana (body), hinengaro (mind), wairua (spirit), and your whānau (connections) to others.

Prepare for classes that are purposeful, playful, and powerful. Mandi designs every session to teach you something new, help you feel energised, and leave you feeling more connected to yourself. Expect to work hard and leave with a smile (and maybe a little sweat!).

🌟 Meet Lisa, Our Newest Instructor at Thrive! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Lisa to the Thrive team! You’ll find her in the studio offering private and semi-private sessions, and covering group classes when other instructors are away, helping you stay consistent with your Pilates practice.

Here’s a little about Lisa, in her own words:

“I’ve experienced both extremes of physical ability - from needing support with everyday tasks after a spine injury, to pushing my physical limits as an elite track cyclist.

My own Pilates journey started after spine surgery, when I was referred for rehabilitation. My Pilates sessions were the first time someone looked at my movement patterns holistically, rather than just focusing on the injury site. I quickly fell in love with the practice - the mindfulness of it, the way it created freedom in my body, and how I felt afterwards.

I retrained as a Pilates instructor to help other people develop that same connection with their bodies. My teaching is all about creating a safe, supportive, and fun space to explore movement, guided by what your body needs on the day.

Whether you're wanting to move better in your daily life, improve your performance in your sport, or just looking to find more joy and confidence in your movement, I’d love to support you with your goals.”
