"I came back to Thrive after cancer, major surgery, and 12 weeks without real exercise. Surgical menopause accelerated the loss of muscle tone, and while I was proud of my recovery, I felt like I’d lost part of myself — my strength, fitness, and ease in my body. I knew Thrive was where I could rebuild, supported by incredible wāhine who would help me regain what I’d lost.
I started back with three classes a week in Feb, then set myself a challenge — 21 classes in 21 days.
It’s brought me back to myself. I feel strong, embodied, and extremely capable, and my muscle tone is pretty good for a 50-year-old menopausal badass. I'm more confident than ever on the reformer, and my slightly distracted brain and sometimes un-co long limbs can now follow the teacher’s instructions like it ain’t no thang.
