Get twisty at Yin with this weeks focus on the Myofascial Spiral Line ✨️
The Spiral Line influences our quality of movement. Spiraling around our bodies from head to the sole of the foot, and snaking its way around our joints like a vine climbing a tree.

The Spiral line has a key role in balance & stability.
Influencing rotational movements in the body, from walking or running, to strength & power production from rotation in the hips and torso. Eg, when throwing & kicking.

Come stimulate the SL in becoming supple, strong and supportive. Think benefits to the neck, back, core, legs, hips & pelvic floor.✌️

Wondering what is beneficial about Yin? Feeling stiff, tired, stressed? When the body experiences stress, we tense up. Physical or mental, stress causes us to be guarded and tight.

Spending time in passive shapes, allows us to be present, focused on breath & our internal landscape. We can then drop into the bodies relaxation response and soften the tightness in our musculature, while increasing mobility and health of our fascia & joints.

For Yin regulars. What benefits have you found the most helpful or were pleasantly surprised to find in your practice? 🙏

The entire fascial network in the human body is estimated to have 250 million nerve endings. That's 6-10 times more than our muscles!

Nerve endings in our fascial network Provide us with feedback on movement, temperature and pain etc, More than our eyes and skin do.

This leads to consider the fascia as the richest sensory tissue of the human body, specialized for communication about the body's internal state. When we blame our pain on muscles it could actually be in our fascia.

Join me for fascial focused movement to connect with and nourish this important, yet often overlooked system.
