“It takes a village to raise a child.” This proverb means it takes many people (“The Village”) to provide a safe and healthy environment for children. 💛

We believe there is a need for connectedness from Whakatane/EBOP healthcare practitioners and health promoters to provide women on the motherhood journey and their families with the best possible care and support we can give them. 🫶

We would love for you to join us to find out more about your "Village" on Saturday 5th of April, from 3PM to 6PM for our educational workshop at the Boon Collective (📍 Left Door Level 1/32 Boon Street, Whakatāne)

For this 3rd edition of Building Your Village, our guest speakers will be:

We are back from Tuesday the 7th of January 2025. Just so you know, prices have gone up slightly due to inflation and the likes. I have delayed this for as long as possible but we all have to eat.

Wishing everyone a very happy New Year! I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday break and I am looking forward to seeing you soon!

I’m not sure how many people are aware of how our maternity services are being massively downgraded in mid January 2025 but any mothers needing emergency cesarean surgery or high risk births or inductions will have to travel to Tauranga to have their labour and delivery. The idea makes me feel sick. My own daughter was an emergency cesarean and without the amazing staff and the ability to have surgery right then and there at Whakatane hospital, my daughter and I may not have made it.
Please, we all have, or know mothers and children. Most of us know someone going through or having gone through pregnancy and birth. We all need help and this devastating news to our community is going to have dire consequences.

Please sign the petition and hopefully we can make positive change by spreading the word.

We are moving this weekend!
From Monday the 15th of January, Inner Glow Acupuncture will be working from 8 Victoria Avenue in the old Face and Fragrance Building between the AA and Plunket. There is plenty of parking and we even have a waiting room. We looking forward to seeing you in our new clinic space!
