Did you catch the TVNZ 1 news story on the Gene Tech Bill recently? Their headline was "Is food in NZ set to become cheaper and better, or just less regulated?"

There's no evidence that GE would make food cheaper – or better. Instead, changes by both Food Standards Australia NZ (FSANZ) and potentially also by the impending Gene Technology Bill, would lead to GE sneaking into our food unlabelled, therefore untraceable and unable to be monitored if anything goes wrong.

GE - we don't want it!
