He Wā Whakamaumahara – A Time to Remember
As Winter Solstice arrives and the longest night passes, we welcome the slow return of light. In this sacred stillness, Matariki and Puanga rise—reminding us to reflect, release, and renew.
Today also marks my pāpā’s birthday. Though he now walks among the stars with our tūpuna, his wairua is ever near.
This is a time to honour those who came before, the lessons of the darkness, and the hope that comes with new light.
Kua hinga te pō, ka tau te māramatanga.
The night has fallen, and the light begins to settle in.
Sending aroha from our whānau to yours this season of remembrance and renewal.
